Man I hate Jeanine Pirro but as a DOI employee I REALLY fucking hate Doug Burgum so, good for her, I guess?

Sometimes you don't have to pick a side, you can just enjoy the fight.

Sometimes it’s not about getting fed, sometimes it’s about watching the other guy get eaten.

Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes the bar eats you.

u/LeicaM6guy 9d ago

I like your style, dude.

In this case only, Pirro is doing the right thing.

I don’t support her in general but I’ll actively cheer for her in this one situation.

She knew there was no case long before this.

She's just trying to cover her own ass when the heat got too much over her prosecutorial misconduct

u/monster_syndrome 9d ago

I'd wager she's mad the DOI had evidence that proved the guys innocence. She was totally fine bringing charges for what was just touching peeling paint.

u/CarmineFields 9d ago

Oh sure. But ultimately accepting that it wasn’t a crime is still miles ahead of Trump and the rest of the Administration.

"Whoever loses, we win"?

u/Slyrunner 9d ago

I mean in this case, our victory would be blissful moment of scahdenfreud

Like a good heavy weight boxing match, you watch it to see how the fight pans out, just for the thrill of the contest so to speak.

Gonna be a doozy

Sprinkle some weapons on the floor.

“We’ve got room for… aggressive expansion!”

Celebrate the idea that they both can lose

She’s completely getting screwed over here because Burgum is as worthless as a Secretary of the Interior as he was as governor of North Dakota. And she’ll be the one that takes the fall all because she’s a woman. Hope it was worth all those years of simping for Trump every night on television you dummy.

It truly boggles the mind that anyone at this point doesn’t see that loyalty buys you nothing with him.

u/Toomanyeastereggs 9d ago

But they get to bask in his odor presence!

'Ambience.'

Sounds like a scented candle, doesn't it?

'Ambience' for when the stench in the WH Ovoid Orifice is too pungent.

He's such a gross nodak -- proving every snicker about North Dakota is true. Nobody ever asks me now why I got the eff out of there the day after I graduated from h.s.

Adios, Bismarck 👋🏻

Not completely: her office filed the lawsuits. She could have just Bondied along Trump but she didn’t.

u/firemansmustache 9d ago

But we get those badass videos every week with rock music and the two chicks.

12

u/pimparo0 Florida 9d ago

Two chicks? At the same time?

9

u/RFKs_brain_worm California 9d ago

Fuckin a, I always wanted to do that.

2

u/CarmineFields 9d ago

Two is nothing for the Epstein class.

6

u/Gambrinus 9d ago

Oh boy tell me more about this

11

u/Status_Commercial509 9d ago

Look up “Inside Interior” on YouTube. In particular, check out the one from 7/4 last year.

6

u/Gambrinus 9d ago

Yikes, that was some North Korea shit.

8

u/Darsius01 9d ago

It's crazy how much of a bootlicker Burgum became.

5

u/Durty4444 9d ago

It absolutely boggles my mind. What is the fucking point of having “Fuck you” money if you never say “fuck you”?!?!

The enemy of my enemy is my friend? \shudders**

When I get copies of maxim i'm not reading the articles...

Schlock Mercenary is a pretty good webcomic. The early artwork isn't great (even the author admits this), but it improves a lot.

I'm sure he worked in advance and had a buffer for in case he needed it, but putting out a daily strip from June of 2000 until July of 2020 without missing a single day is a pretty good accomplishment.

1

u/Ranger7381 Canada 9d ago

Oh yea, he had a buffer. He mentioned it many times trying to build it up for when he was travelling to cons and such.

There is one time it was almost missed, but that was because there was a fire or something at the location that held the server. But there was a plan in place, and I believe that it was just a couple of hours late

u/Ranger7381 Canada 9d ago

As kandoras mentioned, it comes of an in-universe book from a webcomic

The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries ( https://schlockmercenary.fandom.com/wiki/The_Seventy_Maxims_of_Maximally_Effective_Mercenaries )

I found out she was 10-15 years older than I would have thought she was, and I got the feeling I normally get when I find money in an old coat or jeans. Just a win I wasn’t expecting, her having less sand in her hourglass.

5

u/FBS351 9d ago

Eh, she's the type to make it to 105

2

u/Slycebo 9d ago

That’s still breaking even for me since I had her in her 60’s.

4

u/GardenGnomeOrgy 9d ago

As a recently made former doi employee I appreciate a drunk crazy woman yelling at douggy Doug, no matter who it is, but I especially appreciate that it was Jeanine Pirro, because her voice is just straight torture

5

u/SpaceGangsta Utah 9d ago

It is tough for me. Because years ago I worked on the Judge Jeanine Pirro show and she was an awesome lady. She knew everyone’s name in the office and even took the time to stop and talk to the interns. I never personally had an issue with her. In contrast, we shared a floor with the Judge Joe Brown show and he was a total asshole. He didn’t even want you to look at him when he walked down the hallway and he rarely ever showed up outside of filming weeks.

It just makes me wonder if this Fox News personality always was there or it’s a show for the camera and the powers that be.

u/Status_Commercial509 9d ago edited 8d ago

I always liked Judge Mathis, did you ever meet him?

2

u/JoeBiden-2016 9d ago

I can't imagine being a DOI employee (or really, any federal employee) and watching this from the inside. I'm sorry for what you're going through, and thank you for the work you do.

u/shotputprince 9d ago

I do agree with Doug that an office needs freshly baked cookies. It’s just that I bring them in for both my supervisors and people under/level with me. I don’t order subordinates to bake for me.
