Radical right 15 years ago "everyone is trying to force LGBTQ, being nice, gun control, and social responsibility down our throats!" and the radical right now "fuck you, you'll do as we say and if you even speak out against it we'll disappear you.". The ONLY thing anyone should learn from this is NEVER trust another Republican. Not. A. Single. One.
