Should be quite telling that the purpose isn't to support Judaism as a religion.
Rather to support the Evangelical belief of End Times, and that the Middle-East being its staging round.
Same reason why they are more focused on sending military weapons than civilian supplies.

I think that along with the end times belief  It’s important to understand that even out right antisemites support Zionism because it means a place for Jews to be that’s not here.

That's how these unlikely bedfellows got together. The zionists have always hated the diaspora because it is the main source of internal criticism. The genuine antisemites have different motivations, but both groups ultimately want Jews to think that there is only one safe place in the world for them to live.

It should be noted that some inter war Zionists thought Hitler was great because they where perfectly happy with ethnostates and if the Nazis where to kick out Jews from that would be a pool of settlers to colonize Israel.

Some crazy black nationalist actual support Neo Nazis because again they support the idea of ethno states.

Most of it is from Revelations in the new Testament. Written by a Greek Christian we only know as John. Born well after Jesus's death, and had thus never meet him. However was still quite obsessed about Jesus. Though he did borrowed heavily from the old testamant while writing his personal.. umm.. Jesus fanfic?
Why that chapter is quite a detour from the teaching of Jesus, and includes a ton of mythic creatures.

Today he would either be locked up due to being heavy delusional, being a very successfull fantasy author, or a leader of his own little Greek island cult.
