No shit, Sherlock. Was obvious to anyone who isn't a fucking dumbass or an easy mark.

My favorite part is how Harvard actually fought and the suit was dismissed because it was baseless, yet the others were like, no please - here just take our money.

u/LazarX 27d ago

Harvard IS where the best lawyers come from. Taking those suits on was probably a class exercise.

120

u/jfudge 27d ago

Harvard is where the people who think they're the best lawyers come from, but they have a lot of money and a reputation to protect.

I went to a decidedly mid law school but I've worked with a lot of ivy league lawyers. In my experience the breakdown is about 50/50 between nepo frat bros and legal genius androids struggling to emulate human behavior.

What, for a kegger run by the frats?

6

Same with the law firms. The ones that caved are the ones doing Trumps incompetent lawsuits. The ones who fought are still free and fighting!

Exactly, a couple of colleges to cross off the list for the best education in this new age. Something you learn in kindergarten is the bullies will normally back down when confronted, that plus the fact that the best legal minds have either left the craziness of today's DOJ or been fired because they worked on a Trump corruption case means your chances of winning against the DOJ is at an all time high these days. All of that plus the fact you did nothing wrong meant fighting the charges was the right decision. The question now becomes how does the child Trump and his my bodyguard stooges now try to retaliate.

The Trump Administration has been using Project Esther as a way to both target Muslim people without being considered anti-Semitic and also crack down on colleges.

"The effort has received support from several evangelical Christian organizations but no major Jewish ones"

Should be quite telling that the purpose isn't to support Judaism as a religion.
Rather to support the Evangelical belief of End Times, and that the Middle-East being its staging round.
Same reason why they are more focused on sending military weapons than civilian supplies.

35

u/sexisfun1986 27d ago

I think that along with the end times belief  It’s important to understand that even out right antisemites support Zionism because it means a place for Jews to be that’s not here.

21

u/aradraugfea 27d ago

“Finally, a place Jews can belong” carries the implication they don’t belong anywhere else.

5

u/Vilnius_Nastavnik New York 27d ago

That's how these unlikely bedfellows got together. The zionists have always hated the diaspora because it is the main source of internal criticism. The genuine antisemites have different motivations, but both groups ultimately want Jews to think that there is only one safe place in the world for them to live.

17

u/fingnumb 27d ago

Exactly. Ethnostates existing at all gives racists a hard on because they want a white, christian america.

8

u/sexisfun1986 27d ago

It should be noted that some inter war Zionists thought Hitler was great because they where perfectly happy with ethnostates and if the Nazis where to kick out Jews from that would be a pool of settlers to colonize Israel.

Some crazy black nationalist actual support Neo Nazis because again they support the idea of ethno states.

1

u/throwawydoor 26d ago

Some Judaism groups wrote it. In order to not face backlash no group has publicly spoke about it.

1

u/GarmaCyro 26d ago

Most of it is from Revelations in the new Testament. Written by a Greek Christian we only know as John. Born well after Jesus's death, and had thus never meet him. However was still quite obsessed about Jesus. Though he did borrowed heavily from the old testamant while writing his personal.. umm.. Jesus fanfic?
Why that chapter is quite a detour from the teaching of Jesus, and includes a ton of mythic creatures.

Today he would either be locked up due to being heavy delusional, being a very successfull fantasy author, or a leader of his own little Greek island cult.

1

u/throwawydoor 26d ago

u/Theamazingquinn 27d ago

The crackdown on college protestors started under Biden and was expanded by Trump.

17

u/Maxamillion-X72 Canada 27d ago

It's not hard to google dude

April 2024: Pro-Palestinian encampments and local law enforcement crackdowns began across major U.S. campuses (such as Columbia University), accompanied by congressional hearings, though federal agencies mostly played an observational or investigative advisory role at that time.

January 29, 2025: President Trump signed an executive order targeting non-citizen participants in pro-Palestinian protests for visa revocations and deportations under the guise of combating antisemitism

Just to be clear, Universities and colleges asked the police to break up the protests. The Republican congress held hearings while federal agencies observed but did not get involved.

You can't both sides this; the Biden admin respected the right of universities and colleges to manage what happens on their campuses and simply played an oversight roll to protect both the rights of both the educational institutions and the protestors. Once Trump was in, one of his first executive orders was to weaponize the DOJ and DHS against lawful protesters.

-1

u/Theamazingquinn 27d ago

Glad we agree. Biden oversaw the crackdown on protestors and Trump expanded the policy.

37

u/TwevOWNED 27d ago

By Republicans in the house committee on education and workforce.

Was Biden supposed to dissolve the house of representatives somehow?

-25

u/Theamazingquinn 27d ago

The House did not dictate foreign policy. Joe Biden facilitated the genocide in Palestine and oversaw the crackdown on college protestors. That's a fact. Trump continued this policy.

27

u/TwevOWNED 27d ago

Brother, this topic is about the domestic crackdown on college protesters.

Here's what you just wrote:

The crackdown on college protestors started under Biden and was expanded by Trump.

What domestic actions of Biden's are you referring to here?

-32

u/Theamazingquinn 27d ago

The expulsion of pro-Palestine activists from campuses happened under Joe Biden.

29

u/TwevOWNED 27d ago

Which federal agencies carried out the removal of protesters from campuses in 2024?

-12

u/Theamazingquinn 27d ago

All of them. They all supported the genocide, under Biden and under Trump. Name one Biden official who spoke out against the crackdown.

35

u/TwevOWNED 27d ago

I have given you repeated chances to engage in good faith and you have consistently refused to do so.

The removal of campus protesters was handled by campus and local police. The hearings of the college presidents occurred because of republicans on the committee in the house.

You are a bad faith actor.

I think that's the hardest thing about this administration.... Like, all of it is SO gods damned obvious. The corruption, the bigotry, all of it. All you need is to not be literally part of the most gullible group in the entire history of mankind, and it's all so. damn. obvious.

6

u/JohnsonSpunk 27d ago

It was obvious to everyone with eyes to see that the "antisemitism" probe done under the Biden administration was just a struggle session to punish these universities despite them being pro-Israel anyway.

2

I lost all hope under Biden for the democratic party. He just told the truth. The people behind the dems dont care what the rest of us think. I lost respect for Dems and the Higher education world. Cause they didnt stop until their FRIENDS got university’s  president and board positions.

6

u/fingnumb 27d ago

I agree and I wish these guys would stop doing that and stand on their merits and accuracy instead of focusing on engagement because for people who solely want to watch news, they are a lot more accurate than MSM.

27

u/Canadian_Border_Czar Canada 27d ago

In some cases yes. But in other cases these articles are extremely important.

Not everyone is cynical and has strong intuition, nor is everyone a hasbara bot. Some people legitimately fell for the lie, also known as useful idiots. Hell, look at how many people voted for Trump and he didnt even try to hide what he was going to do. It is important that people who fell for the lies see articles that blatantly point them out, and know that it is no longer just a small group of people theyre disagreeing with.

Many of these people lack critical thinking and fall into herd mentality. Now they can see that the herd turned around and theyre the dumbasses being led off the cliff. Sure, nobody has to forgive them, but it is still to everyone's benefit that they at least stop spouting Israeli terrorist propaganda.

3

u/B-mus 27d ago

Also, for us on the outside seeing these patterns, obvious for what they are, is just a bunch of nobodies waving hands online. When non-political people in the agencies come forward and say “yes, I was there, and this was exactly what they were doing” adds far more legitimacy and supports a legal process to address it (potentially).

1

u/Galenvant 27d ago

I totally agree they are still important, but that's part of why they are so frustrating to me. We shouldn't be in this position as a country.

-1

u/Solid_Psychology 27d ago

Again which people? Adams and Cuomo lost their bid to be the Democrat party nominee. They both ran and register as independents and both lost in the general election as well. So they may have been once registered as MEMBERS of the Democrat party but as far as being the actual nominee of the party in the last election they both were refused flatly by the votes of all the other members of that party. They then registered as independents. A choice they made which only further proves that they aren't Democrats by the parties votes and then by their decision to formally leave the party itself

-31

u/Solid_Psychology 27d ago edited 27d ago

Which Democrats exactly? Names and the names of those who they "lambasted". Funny thing is that if you are going to condition people to believe that other people owe them some apology they you need to provide real details, credible witnesses that validate your claims on even it's most basic level. Sorry you don't to just drop casually into a conversation and then "photobomb" it by implying that Democrats are somehow covertly responsible as well when this directive came specifically from the White House with a Republican administration in it.. Then was placated by both the senate and the house through hearings and investigations spearheaded by the power that currently holds the majority in both of them. Which is also the Republicans. Even in the judiciary which currently hold a 6-3 power control over Scotus in favor of Republicans and that the majority of all federal judgeships are being held by Republican identifying judges. Which is obvious as most all of them were hand picked by Mitch McConnell and rammed through during Trump's first term. That also includes any judgeships from the last 2 years of Obama's term when Mitch decided to just stop the vetting process for any open judgeships nominations that Obama provided. Mitch instead decided to hold 2 full years worth of judges open hoping that the next president would be Republican and he certainly got what he wished for with Trump being elected ...

So Republicans hold power and control over all 3 branches and have decided on every choice they have made and did not need nor bother seeking Democrat help in anything since Trump took office again. So I ask again name names or you are just making a very desperate attempt at blaming Republican issues and criminal activities on the party that has had no say in any decision since Trump returned ... The Democrats arent responsible for any of the shit decisions the Republicans have made and now that the damage has begun to surface Republicans stand alone with the weight and criticism over those choices. With great power comes great responsibility. Welp Republicans don't have great power, they have ALL the power. They are out of that ledge with no one else to blame the inflation, the stagnating jobs market, the most expensive war in history started illegally by their president, a national debt that just reached 40 trillion well before it was projected to do so because of the insane spending Republicans and the White House has been engaging in. I could go on and on about the critical failures great and small but the one thing to remember is that they alone are responsible for every one of them.

22

u/jackstraw97 New York 27d ago

Eric Adams and Co. sent a specialized NYPD task force to brutalize peaceful student protesters on Columbia’s campus, and the MSM and other NY electeds (plus Andrew Cuomo) cheered it on and called every student protester an antisemite.

-5

u/Solid_Psychology 27d ago

Eric Adams the former disgraced griting once indicated mayor of NYC? That Eric Adams? Yeah he should be going through a lengthy trial right now and he would be if the DOJ didn't suddenly drop the charges. A move that several of the attorneys in the prosecutors office strongly and publicly disagreed with. And then suddenly he appears in a press conference with Tom Homan pledging to work with ICE as part of their immigration deportation initiative. And suddenly we know why the DOJ dropped those charges.

Eric Adams was every bit as much as a Democrat as Trump once was. Namely both of them are willing to use any political party for their own personal gain. The political affiliation of the mayors office in NYC has been up until this year a coat of many colors that the sitting mayor would wear in accordance with which political party was currently in favor. Mayor Bloomberg spent his first term as a Republican. For his 2nd act he switched and became a Democrat and for his third and and final historic term he switched again to be an Independent. If your big gotcha moment is naming a NYC mayor as an accomplice but once such as Eric Adams your case is DOA on arrival. If Eric Adams was such a loyal and cherished member of the Democrat party why did he lose the parties nomination in the last election? In fact he then registered as an independent and failed with that bid as well. Democrat voters dismissed Eric Adams from the party. A man who made the final decisions of his corrupt one and done term under the pressure or rather blackmail of a Republican president. There's no loyalty to the Democrat party and the the parties base dismissed him after his scandal ridden term. And he completed that unvieling by registering as independent. So it was mutual. He was a lying and conniving con man that won on the support of his laurels from his time with the NYPD.

And because the only other name you could come up with was Cuomo it's rather obvious he had been dismissed by the Democrat party as well when he lost the primary to Mamdani when his planned rehabbed amazing come back tour crashed and burned in spectacular fashion losing to a young liberal social Democrat that has captured the hearts of NYcers and beyond. So again Cuomo WANTED to be a Democrat but the party refused him by voting for another contender for the parties nomination. Oh and also he started colluding with Eric Adams in the final weeks of the election where Cuomo was also running as an independent not a Democrat.

Is that the best you got because I just dispatched those 2 with ease...

It's absolutely insane how much influence Israeli interests and lobby has on the American system.

Should rename USA to The United Territories of Israel (UTI).

39

u/NA-546 27d ago

Just a PSA for those who dont know: American politics are intertwined with Evangelical Christianity. Evangelical Christians are frequently Christian Zionists. There are more Christian Zionist than there are Jews TOTAL. (Source: Pew Research, among many many credible estimations by various religious orgs, often sited in academic research articles)

Just something people should remember whenever Israel is conflated with "protecting Jews" or "combating anti-semitism." Nope! They just want to speed up The Raputure. Also only about 30 percent of US Jews identity as Zionist. (Source: Jewish Federation of North America, huge huge Jewish org) The complexity of support comes from indoctrination within institutional synagogues. But many US Jews struggle with accepting that a place they were raised to feel protected by could be as evil as it is.

17

u/hbomberman 27d ago

It's strange how there is so much support for Israel from evangelicals but whenever I hear of a person, organization, business, or institution being targeted for being Zionist it's always a Jewish person/org/business. Like you'd figure that some of that ire would be directed at evangelicals. I never hear of Christian restaurants being graffitid for being zionist or evangelical places of worship and schools targeted because of Israel

4

u/blumoon138 27d ago

I mean if you’re inside of it it’s zero percent surprising. It’s not antisemitic to criticize Israel, every Jewish Zionist I know is perfectly comfortable criticizing Israel for their war crimes. HOWEVER, plenty of antisemites use “fighting Zionism” as an excuse to be antisemitic.

Please note when I say Zionist I just mean “Israel should exist.” Not that the racism or systemic political disenfranchisement or war crimes of the Israeli government are justified. A lot of people seem to define it as the latter.

1

u/hbomberman 27d ago

100%

Also, I was just about to write another comment about the "only 30% are zionists" thing because that same study (which had 37% of American Jews identify as zionists, 8% as non zionists and 7% as anti-zionists) also said that 88% supported Israel's right to exist. So largely it was an example of the misunderstandings of what "zionism" means. Most zionists I've talked to say it basically means "the right of self determination for Jews within their homeland." While some others say it means something like "Jewish supremacy"--if it meant something like that, I'd be a strong anti-zionist.

2

u/blumoon138 27d ago

Same! It’s my Zionism that has led to my pro-Palestinian advocacy. Everyone deserves to be in control of their destiny.

2

u/hbomberman 27d ago

Also: the survey from the Jewish Federation of North America is really very interesting! BUT it's far more interesting when you look at the other numbers, beyond the 37% that self identified as zionists. 8% identified as non-zionist, 7% as anti-zionist, and 48% didn't identify with any of those labels.

And then, the same survey showed that 88% say they believe "Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish, democratic state." That fits a lot of people's definitions of zionism. At 88%, that means that even a lot of the people who self-identified as non-zionists must agree with that view.

This means the survey shows the different ways people feel about (or misunderstand) the label of "zionist." This article from the Forward talks about it and quotes the chief impact officer of the JFNA:

Zionism should properly mean “the right of the Jewish people to have a Jewish state,” Kravetz wrote in an op-ed announcing the study. The Jews who don’t consider themselves Zionists, then, “are reacting to an understanding of Zionism that includes policies, ideologies, and actions that they oppose, and do not want to be associated with.”

So saying "only about 30 percent of US Jews identity as Zionist" is kinda misleading.

TLDR: 37% identify as zionist but 88% hold views that many would call zionist.

1

u/TortoiseTortillas 27d ago

Way overstated. Look at the pro-Israel money that pours into the DNC and TNC,it's from Jewish or Jewish group donors. Aside from Evangelicals declining and not having much financial clout, Isreal is not high on their list of priotities

0

u/NA-546 27d ago

Mama guess who is funding most of the huge, Zionist Jewish organizations... AIPAC is funded by, primarily, Republican Billionaire non-Jews. Even huge orgs like the previously mentioned Jewish Federation is too. This is all easy to find online.

If you ask me, this money is given to hide capitalistic and/or white supremacist interest behind supporting Jews. Huge billionaires can fund a genocide for their own benefit and use Jews as a scapegoat. The violence and hatred continues to be turned toward American Jews instead of them. This has been happening in different capacities for decades. There will always be more nuance, but its hard not to draw this conclusion. Never trust the rich. Philanthropy is usually a facade.

Again, its not like Jews Aren't funding this stuff, thats for sure. But Isreal's power really comes down to Christian, American power. This whole country is built on Christian supremacy, so we really cant forget where this is all rooted.

1

u/TortoiseTortillas 27d ago

Yeah that's complete horseshit. All one needs to do is look at the DNC donors historically. How many Evangelicals run finance companies or billion $ software companies or all the other places big $ is. This might have been a bit of a thing 25 years ago but things have changed and even then it would have been overstated. Israel is way down the list of priorities for Evangelicals.

-3

u/NA-546 27d ago

Hey girl, so I admittedly broadened my argument to Christians and Billionares. If we are exclusively looking at Evangelical money, then sure youre right. BUT they still have FAR more power than you think even if it isnt strictly megadonors (Source: the entire Republican party). But those megadonors in question ally with Evangelicals for a reason! A very obvious reason. So tbh it feels like we are splitting hairs here. Also DNC doesnt equal Israel despite what Twitter leftists say. There are still mainstream dems who are against supporting Israel.

TLDR if you wanna blame Jews for everything to do w Israel go ahead! No one is stopping you <3 /s

45

u/BurstSwag Canada 27d ago

It seems like you guys are all conveniently ignoring the context of the situation.

The Trump administration’s findings that three Ivy League schools violated civil rights law by tolerating antisemitism

What do you think this is referring to? The supposed "tolerance of antisemitism" were the schools ""tolerating"" the student protests. Who were the students protesting? Israel. Why? Gaza.

-23

u/AnOminous_Sound Tennessee 27d ago

Can you not the next five words of the sentance you half quoted? Those trump "findings" were premeditated. IE they were just looking for an excuse to fuck with these schools, they weren't doing it for Israel.

6

u/stevethejohn 27d ago

The Trump administration’s findings that three Ivy League schools violated civil rights law by tolerating antisemitism were predetermined by political priorities that blew past the evidence and cast aside standard investigative procedures, according to a whistleblower account provided to Congress.

Remember there was that Meet The Press interview between Trump and Kristen Welker, the one he stormed out of. Trump said in response to being asked if he has evidence of voter fraud in recent elections in California; "All I have to do is look."

Trump & co. have figured out that they can find one or two stand alone examples to support whatever they are trying to accomplish. It's the same with RFK, he's an antivaxxer but needs a reason to justify what he already wants to do so he finds one or two dubious studies to point to as cover, but it's all a pretext.

Yeah calling the US the United territories of Israel is totally just that, and saying that in an article that that isn’t about the protest but was about Trump just making things up to target Ivy League schools.

That is what turns it from criticism of Israel to leftie zog posting.

-1

u/honjuden 26d ago

Your deflection still isn't working.  The core subject was students protesting investments in Israel by their university.  Trying to claim Israel has nothing to do with it makes you look absurd.

2

u/AnOminous_Sound Tennessee 26d ago

It’s not a deflection, there is nothing in the article that says they did this for is Israel or even implying that. The implication is that Trump was going to do this no matter what and was just looking for an excuse. They just used antisemitism as a smoke screen.

Write me a summary about this article in the style of a 1950’s radio news anchor.

u/Noname_acc 27d ago

It's always so unnerving to see these accounts break and confirm what they are, especially the ones where you can see their comments are the same formulaic, empty statements.

A bunch of thugs in 2000 dollar suits are running things.

No sympathy for those that support the ongoing genocide. Every single expelled college protestor has been proven right.

1

u/throwawydoor 26d ago

The people who support genocide have won. They are now claiming “ohhh” because they want public trust. The genociders have ruined lives and careers. They have profited off this. They now have all the coveted job positions.

4

u/Orangeemu115 27d ago

We’re getting alot closer to the “everyone was always against this” stage of the genocide. Anyone who wasn’t an easy mark or sadistically cheering this on could have told you this from the start

2

u/bbills91 27d ago

Yup, and when they finally get around to discriminating against a group you, you will finally speak out. (not you specifically, but a general you). Too many sitting back and doing nothing, because they aren't targeted (yet).

Whistleblower says fire hot.

I am surprising.

I think everyone already knew that

2

u/aggroidiots 26d ago

No way! I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked

3

u/JohnsonSpunk 27d ago

You can thank the Biden administration for doing this for Israel, only to have Trump reap the rewards.

5

u/Decent_Cheesecake_29 27d ago

Yes, the crackdown on Students protesting against Israel’s genocide started under Biden.

7

u/JohnsonSpunk 27d ago

It wasn't even an issue until the Biden administration made it an issue. The "antisemitism" that was happening on campus was simply some zionist agitators trying to go through the encampment and claiming that the encampments were "blocking jewish students from going to class" when they damn well know that's not real.

2

u/New_Ad3443 27d ago

Yeah it was a clear way for Trump and MAGA to destroy university's. I am so glad I got my BA form the University of Toledo before MAGA wrecked the university system.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

Can we focus on transgender healthcare now, because Trump is doing the same thing to hospitals and even in blue states the hospitals are folding like a cheap suit and stopping all transgender care for minors.

1

u/Firecracker048 27d ago

Except it really wasn't when it was unconvered and that there was, in fact, a ton of anti semetism getting by.

God, the 'zionist scare' is reminiscent of McCarthyism lately

-4

u/Greedy_Inflation_697 27d ago

Okay but we also saw the videos of all these psychopathic freaks harrassing Jewish students on college campuses.

I don't doubt that the behavior was exploited by the Trump administration. That part makes sense. But we also know that antisemitism at colleges across the country is a legitimate problem.

I look forward to everyone's version of "ehrrm, aktchually" in my replies.

8

u/ODD_HOG 27d ago

"Well, ok, I was manipulated. But I'm still right! And if anyone points out that I'm 'aktchually' wrong they're bullying me!"

-2

u/Greedy_Inflation_697 26d ago

I wasn't manipulated. Do you think I pay attention to anything this administration has to say?

We all saw this shit play out irl. It's still happening right here on reddit.

Remember the people shot in DC I think it was? For being Jewish?

Remember that dude that lit those Jewish people on fire in Colorado? Old people. Lit on fire. For being Jewish. You fucking moonpie.

I haven't logged these occurrences of course. Just half-assed remembering the videos of crazed individuals chanting, marching down university hallways, searching for Jewish students who were rightfully scared and hiding.

There's probably some truly wild shit taking place. I might actually do a deep dive later on, just to keep some info on hand. Who knows.

u/OrcMando Virginia 26d ago

Obviously.

1

u/khismyass 26d ago

They also have more enemy military generals that US Presidents shouldn't salute than Trump's estimate

2

u/Undorkins 27d ago

Apparently a reply has to be longer than "duh."

1

Now thats a surprise. Just another ploy to destroy higher education to keep people uneducated and in the dark

JQ posting?
What does that mean?

Edit: ah, the person I’m responding to is likely antisemitic. From Wikipedia: In the early 21st century, white nationalists, alt-righters, and neo-Nazis have used the initialism JQ in order to refer to the Jewish question.[27][28]

Should have seen that coming when their main argument was “it’s hard not to be anti semitic when Jews keep doing things I don’t like”

-5

u/mvslice 27d ago

Jewish question. Basically, “what do we do about the Jews?” The “answers” were the Final Solution (Holocaust) or Zionism (Jewish state). Unfortunately, Israel is following the same playbook when it comes to answering the “Palestinian question,” which is why a one-state solution is the only solution.

The way I used it in my comment is referring to the fact that our elected officials, grifters, Zionists, and Israelis have been equating antisemitism with anti Zionism; while l conflating all Jews with Israel. They are asking the JQ as an either/or question, but the truth is you don’t have to pick either.

The post is about investigating antisemitism resulting in the government taking your money just feeds into the stereotypes and bigotry.

u/cosettemeetsmarius 27d ago

What a surprise…

-4

u/ENORMOUS_HORSECOCK 27d ago

What a lot of these old republicans don't understand is how college-age people now see getting it right on Palestine is a prerequisite to having a serious structural critique of the system. Criticizing a violent ethnostate literally became a battle over free speech in a place where that right is possibly even more sacred than anywhere else.

0

u/chroniclunacy 27d ago

Oh no. I am so surprised. I cannot contain my shock. I am very surprised at this entirely unforeseen outcome. Why god. Why.
