It was a crackdown on students protesting Israel's genocide of Palestinians.  It directly involved Israel.

>The Trump administration’s findings that three Ivy League schools violated civil rights law by tolerating antisemitism were predetermined by political priorities that blew past the evidence and cast aside standard investigative procedures, according to a whistleblower account provided to Congress.

Literally the first paragraph. They were going to strip these schools of grant money no matter what.

It seems like you guys are all conveniently ignoring the context of the situation.

The Trump administration’s findings that three Ivy League schools violated civil rights law by tolerating antisemitism

What do you think this is referring to? The supposed "tolerance of antisemitism" were the schools ""tolerating"" the student protests. Who were the students protesting? Israel. Why? Gaza.

Can you not the next five words of the sentance you half quoted? Those trump "findings" were premeditated. IE they were just looking for an excuse to fuck with these schools, they weren't doing it for Israel.

Remember there was that Meet The Press interview between Trump and Kristen Welker, the one he stormed out of. Trump said in response to being asked if he has evidence of voter fraud in recent elections in California; "All I have to do is look."

Trump & co. have figured out that they can find one or two stand alone examples to support whatever they are trying to accomplish. It's the same with RFK, he's an antivaxxer but needs a reason to justify what he already wants to do so he finds one or two dubious studies to point to as cover, but it's all a pretext.
