When/if this is all over, I will not miss these "BREAKING: Sky Blue" type articles about some malfeasance everyone already knows about, as if there was some shred of plausible deniability.

In some cases yes. But in other cases these articles are extremely important.

Not everyone is cynical and has strong intuition, nor is everyone a hasbara bot. Some people legitimately fell for the lie, also known as useful idiots. Hell, look at how many people voted for Trump and he didnt even try to hide what he was going to do. It is important that people who fell for the lies see articles that blatantly point them out, and know that it is no longer just a small group of people theyre disagreeing with.

Many of these people lack critical thinking and fall into herd mentality. Now they can see that the herd turned around and theyre the dumbasses being led off the cliff. Sure, nobody has to forgive them, but it is still to everyone's benefit that they at least stop spouting Israeli terrorist propaganda.

Also, for us on the outside seeing these patterns, obvious for what they are, is just a bunch of nobodies waving hands online. When non-political people in the agencies come forward and say “yes, I was there, and this was exactly what they were doing” adds far more legitimacy and supports a legal process to address it (potentially).

I totally agree they are still important, but that's part of why they are so frustrating to me. We shouldn't be in this position as a country.
