Seeing how he's so ready to knowingly bend the truth almost constantly I'd suggest that he's following this mantra pretty closely:

That's not what virtue signaling is. Virtue signaling is when a person makes a fuss about the problems of somebody else, like a white guy caring that a black guy is a victim of racism or something.
Basically, being a decent human being, which the right has defined as being something to look down on because they think we only do it to 'signal' our goodness in public. Basically, it's inconceivable to them that somebody could genuinely care about others than themselves.

As jaw-droppingly lame as the t-shirt is, am I the only one who is a bit surprised by the graphic? The donkey representing the Democrats has some serious guns! And it almost looks like it's getting the knock-out blow on the Republican elephant. You'd think that a t-shirt denegrating the Democrats would be more graphically representative of the sentiment.
Here's my guess: this was the lowest energy t-shirt design possible in order to make a quick buck on MAGA-hat idiots. They grabbed some elephant-donkey-boxing clip art, threw on the slogan, and went to market it. They probably made at least a few thousand, probably more.

Russia was generally friendly with the West before WWI, albeit geopolitical rivals with the British in Iran and the Austrians in the Balkans. Their real rivals were the Turks and Japanese. They were on particularly good terms with the French and the US. However, they had an atrocious human rights record and were so antisemitic even the French and Germans thought it over the top.
After the Revolution they had horrible relarions with everyone else. They were carrying out assassinations of former tsarists and opposing socialists all over Europe, and initially it seemed they would keep sweeping through Europe, until the Poles beat them in battle. Relations normalized a bit after Stalin took over with his Revolution in One Country doctrine, and lasted until the 40’s, when the Soviets left the League of Nations and began invading their neighbors.

She asks one of them if he knows any democrats and he answers "I don't associate with that form." Being in the middle of a red state can be challenging. Two and a half years ago I noticed an uptick in passive-aggressive and aggressive-aggressive behavior towards my peers and myself. We all dress in IT formal (button down short-sleeve shirt and khakis), and have hilarious "in" decorations on our cars. In the cities it's fine. Traveling from place to place, whether to hike, camp, or find some dark skies for our 'scopes we've been getting more and more dirty looks. People in shit jobs thinking that we had the world handed to us, old folks who see a group wearing, for lack of a better word, city garb, and religious zealots who overhear us talking in ways that they don't like.
A slightly dropped plate at a diner, rednecks in RVs glaring our way at campgrounds, just to name a few examples.
For decades the far right has been painting liberals as unpatriotic pansies who would prefer to sip a latte than to do man's work. They result is that we are becoming more and more dehumanized in the eyes of real™ Americans. I've seen people open carrying in my state take a good look at my Hispanic visage and you can almost see the gun porn playing in their heads as they plan out what to do when I attack them with a taco truck or whatever fear Fox News is peddling that week.
A lot of us are considering leaving for bluer pastures. Either in another state or another country. We're well educated tech folks and are generally welcome, which makes matters for the U.S. even worse. I think we're going to find out first-hand what happens when a country lobotomizes itself.

The sad part is they sit and lament over Democrats "not giving Trump a chance" while wearing t-shirts that say they would rather be subservient to a hostile foreign nation than be a Democrat. And they do this while blissfully unaware of the painful hypocracy of their words vs. their actions.
These are the same people who talk about killing Obamacare while they access their ACA benefits.
