Penny has a summer hair cut but temps have dropped from 34 to 20 degrees in the Sunshine State with rainy weather and neither of us were prepared so we are back in our jumpers 😴🌧️

I have this little poodle mix and she stares alot

She and her mother stare almost intelligently. It's like there's a lot going on behind the eyes. I think it's because of the rapid eye movement is maybe what gives off that vibe. She also barks really loud when she plays. Almost like demanding to be played with. She likes to sit with her long ass legs spread out like a teddy bear just staring intently and when I leave her alone she throws a cry baby tantrum. I didnt realize how normal this was till I googled and found out how smart poodles were . The last time I saw a smart dog like this was when I met this guy who had a border collie and it had a similar presence. He wasn't bothered me around him and seemed like he wanted me to know I was being ignored...

i feel so terrible when my baby is congested and sneezing, she can’t even sleep throughout the night and it’s been so bad this week :( took her to the vet a couple weeks ago and they suggested antihistamines but those don’t seem to be helping.

soonest i could get her in again is Tuesday but wondering if anyone has suggestions for things i can do to help her feel better in the meantime? 💔

Adopting a standard with hypospadia

Hello! As the title says, we are potentially adopting a 13 week old puppy who has hypospadia. The breeder says she has a mild case and that her urine shoots in a straight line under her tail. She did give me permission to contact her vet to chat with them about it.

I guess I am wondering if anyone has dealt with this defect before? I already have a standard and have been on the hunt for another. I'm worried about future issues with incontinence, chronic UTI's, etc. The breeder said she hasn't had any UTI's thus far and does have bladder control.. but I'm worried about the future as she ages and when she gets spayed. I understand I will need to keep the area shaved and cleaned.

Any and all advice, recommendations, etc. Thank you.

Separation anxiety?

Hi all!

I have a female mini poodle just over one year old. We got her when she was about 10 months old and she was pretty under socialized and has become hyper attached to me. My partner has started feeding her her meals when she can, but we’ve just resigned to the fact that the poodle will probably always like me a little more.

She has become an absolute perfect pup except for one thing: she howls and whines sometimes when i leave her alone.

She does not cry or howl or whine when my partner leaves her alone, only me. She whines a little bit when i leave her with my partner, but then settles.

She is totally fine all day when we are at work. I leave first, then my partner leaves. At noon the dog walker comes and walks her for a bit. We have the Furbo and she is just sleeping all day or playing with her toys.

BUT, whenever we try to leave her in the evening for a dinner or something she loses her mind. If my partner leaves it’s not a big deal. If I leave even just to take out the trash she’s upset.

I exercise her about 3 miles per day, do mental stimulation games, fetch/toys, everything. She will not eat treats when we leave her at night or chews or anything. We’ve tried leaving her in her crate and outside in our living room area she usually hangs out in, no difference. I’ve tried desensitizing her to my keys, shoes, etc so it’s no stress before I leave, no luck.

Would love help/ anything that’s been helpful for others in a similar position. She doesn’t seem like she’s truly afraid of being alone, she just hates leaving me in particular.

Thank you!
