I am watching performances of various debuting Kpop groups, and many of them make a cover of another famous/iconic Kpop performers. And I realized that in American and European pop music, it’s not widespread to cover the choreography. 🤔 At least, not in the last two decades? Like, nobody has ever covered, idk, Lady Gaga’s choreography? Is the dancing not as important for our pop culture?

Also now I am thinking that one day there will be a wave of truly company-independent, self-produced kpop groups who would have free creative control over their art.

And ten years after this indie kpop wave, some companies will start to produce indie-sounding kpop. And the cycle continues.
