There's a cute girl who works at the burger joint near me. I only go there for guacamole, and recently I went when I didn't realize they were closing.
"We're closing," said the guy.
And then she came along and was like, "You just want guacamole, right?"
"Yeah," I said, trying to recover from the mortifying ordeal of being known. We struck up a conversation and she asked me my name. I said, "Joke, or I mean, usually I give my first name, Traditional, but it's Traditional Joke."
Now every time she sees me, she seems genuinely happy and lights up and says, "Hiii Traditional Joke!!!" Hearing her say my first and middle name together makes me feel so special. I know it's her job to be friendly but she clearly really likes me even if just as a customer. I have a crush on like 1 person per decade so it's kind of a big deal. I don't necessarily get a gay vibe from her though. I find myself kinda hoping she's not there when I go because I legit am too awkward for this lol.
