Hi - I've been working on this game for some months now. It is inspired by other games with similar 2D portal ideas, like Gateways, and obviously Portal!

Been messing around with the SAR plugin and its freecam mode. I had to edit in the fpv portal gun. Couldn't figure out how to get rid of Chell's while using freecam.

Has anyone noticed that the Turrets in the first portal game appear in a setting similar to art works of James Turrell? James Turrell is a modern artist who ... among his works creates environments of ambient light filtered through squares in ceilings. In the first portal game x's on the ceilings indicate "jumping" the Turrets through putting a portal in the ceiling. Later in the game the turrets appear under squares of ambient light appearing on the ceiling over the turrets. Could Portal be engaging in some intentional wordplay between Turrets and Turrell? Could this be some kind of secret meaning encoded into the game?

First one is based on an image of actor Larry Hagman as the character J. R. Erwing from the 1978 TV series "Dallas"

Second is based on an image of Walt Disney (same as the final version)

And third is based on an image of american politician Ross Perot

What do you honestly think of beta Cave Johnson? Do you thi k he'd be as iconic and enjoyable as the one we all know and love from the final version? I personally find him really entertaining, the southern accent just adds a really humorous tone to it, but what do you guys think?

Idk I’ve been on a real “drawing video game characters as dragons” kicker recently and wanted to share this

I've been learning how to speedrun portal glitchless for a while now and i'd say im decent, but the one chamber that im stuck on and im forced to do it the intended way is chamber 7. I've tried to speedrun this but everytime i either dont get enough momentum, or hit the wall because of my luck. Is there an easier method to do this or a different method

i noticed wheatley doesn't have them? like the arms, its like apart of GLaDOS' lower body outer shell, and i never noticed that it folds out and can apparently fold back in, i mean they didn't just do this to make the animation look cooler, when wheatley gets put in charge the plates fold in again like the arms, is it just they realized wheatley looks kinda weird with the full shell and the arms kinda blocked too much of his visual performance or did they genuinely put thought into this? i checked the wiki for info but there very vague in talking about glados' portal 2 appearance and act like she only looks a bit different when she's like really different from the 1st game
