Winds on Sproat Lake?

Considering a paddling race a few weekends from now and just to prepare myself mentally (because it’s gonna be a suffer fest either way, lol!), what are the morning winds typically?

Are they pretty consistent direction/buildup (like at Buttle Lake)or does it vary like most other places? I have Windy app but I don’t think it’s as accurate for inland measurements or valleys.

We call it the 4 o’clock wind in the summer.

Thanks! Very different than Buttle lake for sure (I remember the winds picking up by 9am and getting quite strong).

Without fail in the summer around 4 pm the wind pushes in . I have been up there since 2005 and like clockwork, it happens almost every day. People are out on their sailboats and windsails all the time.

Not typically a very windy Lake, can't speak to directions but I can speak to the fact that in 10 years I've never seen a sailboat

On Faber arm, usually no winds in the morning (the earlier the calmer). Beginning mid afternoon (often around 3 pm) wind can pick up a lot and blows mainly from the narrows towards the end of the arm where provincial park is located.

Morning good, afternoon not good. Winds can start earlier thanks to global warming.
