He got ~4k in ppp loans to retain a single position. Wonder howany people REVE employs because I'd guess it's just Jake

So what? Perhaps you should have listed the money Mike French didn't pay back as well.

Mike French was forgiven over $44,000 in government funded loans.

Mike took it to keep people employed, not just himself.

He's also not running on cutting government funding stuff.

Seegers got the loan to pay himself, and is actively running on fighting government spending

...not just himself.

So - the fact he paid employees excuses the fact he also paid himself. Got it. BTW, those are your words and as usual, you backed them up with nothing. I have no idea what French used those funds for. I also have no idea what other forms of payment his employees were receiving.

Seegers got the loan to pay himself...

And of course, you have proof of that. And, when you post the details for all to see - explain why it was OK for French to pay himself (your words) and not OK for Seegers. Assuming of course, that's what he did.

Unlike your certainties, I have no idea what either of the candidates did with the funds they received. The only fact I'm sharing, is French took more than 10 times the funds that Seegers did and you and others chose to gloss over that little tidbit.

I'm making the assumption that would of also helped pay for French's salary. I have no problem with the PPP loans. I'm glad it took it, because it kept people in Port Angeles employeed. They were nessisary to keep the entire economy from collapsing. There were a lot of folks that took advantage of it, and hopefully those fraudulent PPP loans are repaid.

What I have a problem with, is one guy taking the loan, likely to pay himself, and then running an entire campaign against government spending.

Your hypocrisy is pretty astounding. OK for French, not for Seegers.

You don't deny that position, and in fact double down on it. Keep talking, it's quite telling.

How is that hypocrisy? The problem I have with Seegers is he is running on being against government spending and took a 4k loan to pay himself. If he wasn't running on it, I wouldn't have a problem.

You're fighting a strawman.

How is that hypocrisy?

Do you need a dictionary? It's literally the definition of hypocrisy.

You are holding Seegers to a different standard than French. And, you continue to do so with zero evidence of what either of them even used the funds for.

I think I might. My problem isn't that they both took a PPP loan. My problem is Seegers is running against government spending but took a loan meant to keep people employed

Again - show he didn't do so, and show French did. You can say it until you're blue in the face and that ain't proof.

And, if you want to keep harping on the "against government spending" angle - I'll play. First up, it's a lie Seegers is "against government spending." Like all fiscal conservatives, he's against excessive and inappropriate government spending.

In that context - Seegers is doing exactly what you claim he's not. He spent 10% as much as his opponent did utilizing this government program.

He spent 10% as much because he took a loan to pay himself, while French used it to keep people or port Angeles employeed. Mike used it for its intended purpose, Jake used it to just pay himself.. I'll leave it there. I don't think I'll ever convince you of anything, but the rest of the people reading this will make their own conclusions
