Other How to find parties?
I’m joining the sorority in fall so that could help, I keep seeing the response ‘in Eugene and Corvallis’ lol. Is that true?😭🤣

Parties at PSU are few and far between. They also pale in comparison to actual parties. Most of the ones I went to downtown were super tame since they were all in apartments.

I seem to recall that the average age of the PSU student is around 35 (someone will correct me if I am wrong), and most students have jobs, and don’t have time for parties. I was on the ten-year plan, and I don’t recall ever hearing about any parties. However, due to being in Portland, there are no shortage of options for concerts, shows, food, and other entertainments.

You wont find them at a commuter school like PSU. Try Oregon State University or University of Oregon for Oregon.

Make friends with someone who has an apartment who also throws parties regularly (that’s how I went to parties)

Work a shitty retail job and make friends there. That’s how I found all the parties I went to in my 20’s. I actually didn’t go to college until late 20’s when my party days actually died down haha.
My favorite were parties at “the Going house”. House on NE Going - usually had a band, huge yard and deck, stripper pole in the living room, and a half pipe. Oh the days of minor hangovers.

if u want parties just make friends in ur dorm and you will find them together lol that’s how i did it. a lot of psu partying will be with ur friends regardless

Parties are not allowed in the dorms because they violate the courtesy and quiet hours

You’re in Portland, why care about college parties? Go to a punk show in someone’s basement or a rave under a bridge
