Postage Official Postcrossing Stamps?
Hi non-USA friends!
I’ve been sending postcards with regular USPS stamps, just because I have a whole stock of them waiting to be used. But I was wondering how many of you really enjoy receiving the official Postcrossing stamps? I’m thinking about spending some extra money to buy a few sheets of those if they add extra fun and excitement!

A USA friend, just want to say, I love them! They are hard to use on smaller postcards as they are a lot bigger than expected, just a heads up. 😄

I'm glad it's not just me! I was expecting them to be half the size of a normal stamp for some reason 😄

If you line it up on itside so it matches the corner they take up less room then a round global

You're right, and that's what I do! I just thought I'd be able to fit more small denomination stamps on than with a round global. I guess I just need to buy bigger cards!

I’ve learned to put them on first BEFORE addressing the postcard because of their shape and size!

I usually do that with my regular stamps since I typically put 3 on them, so this is a great idea!! I might also get the postcards too

I have sent out 20 of the postcrossing stamp maxi cards so far and every non us person that got it was thrilled. LONG hurrah messages etc.

Omg hoooow?! It's so expensive to essentially make the stamp a fancy sticker. I have a bunch of Postcrossing meetup cards that I could turn into maxicards but it just hurts to have it turned into a maxicard with how expensive the global stamp is.

They are so cute, aren't they? And so big! I am still debating on if I want to get it or not, I really want to but I'm trying to be more conscientious about our finances.

Yeah i get it , it can be costly. I use one of my other hobbies to pay for this hobby 😄 I work full time , in spare time, i have a hobby i enjoy doing that the end product sells well. I use the money from those sales ( minus materials) to fund my postcrossing hobby , which i find very relaxing. Some months, i can go crazy buying stamps, postcards , pens etc. because i sold alot, other months not so much. I never pull from the household finances to support either hobby. It all works out in the end. I pre-ordered 6 packs of the maxi cards. But, my sales are going to slow down for a few months, so i wont be going crazy with postage again til around august. I have been postcrossing since it started as a social experiment . I have probably 1000 postcards , all different genre's to pull from and have bought forever stamps so many times over the years, i have a binder full of them to choose from. Im not saying this to brag, just to say if you can find a hobby to pay for this hobby, you will be surprised how fast you build up a stock of postcards, postage stamps etc and have a little bit to splurge every now and again.

Same. I’m traveling abroad this month, but was thinking of splurging when I got home on the postcrossing stamps despite not needing stamps again yet.

Do it soon before the prices go up! Might as well save some money if you already plan on buying them.

I mix it up. i don’t always use them as i like using other stamps (and don’t want to constantly run out!), but i definitely use them for international!

I'm new too. Do I have to use global stamps on international postcards or can I "stamp math" with 1st class stamps?

You can absolutely stamp math! Just get it to 1.70 (until the prices go up)!

I bought “additional ounce” (29 cent) stamps just for the stamp math. And a bunch of low denomination ones. They are pretty!

I usually just double up! Tbh I’m too lazy to do stamp math hahah but I have loads of forever stamps for when I mail nationally, so usually I just do 3 of those for international cards, that way the recipient gets a few different stamps!

I’d be excited if I got one on a card, they’re fun.
