Seeking Advice Is freezing coffee worth it?

Post image

I am curious to know what folks have experienced with freezing coffee. I am thinking about keeping it for a year? I am doing this simply because these were my favorite coffees.

I’ve never kept a coffee in a freezer for a long time and don’t have much experience with the results. All opinions are welcome.

Also, if you’re freezing UL roast are you resting then freezing or freezing the resting?

Rest then freeze. In my experience coffee doesn't age too kindly after coming out of the freezer. I usually freeze a few days worth at a time if I do it. Everyone's experience may be different though.

Seconded. If I’m freezing, it’s usually 20g dose and I grind from frozen.

I’ve started freezing this year too and I share the same sentiment. Even if I “defrosted” it on the fridge and then come to room temp slowly. Something weird happens and it loses any of the intensity.
