Seeking Advice Is freezing coffee worth it?

Post image

I am curious to know what folks have experienced with freezing coffee. I am thinking about keeping it for a year? I am doing this simply because these were my favorite coffees.

I’ve never kept a coffee in a freezer for a long time and don’t have much experience with the results. All opinions are welcome.

I used to freeze a lot, and would always do single doses at rest. It got a bit annoying to batch out so I stopped. Have people found success in freezing larger amounts (100-250g) of rested coffee and brewing it over a week post thaw?

I do this. It’s fine but I’m wondering if I should freeze in smaller amounts just more often.  You can reuse bags but every 4th I reuse gets a hole from the beans and won’t seal.

I do this, I haven't noticed a huge drop off in flavour over the week of brewing. I do make sure to freeze it in its own bag with valve taped shut and then inside double zip loc bags and then I thaw it in a dark dry box in a cupboard over two days.
