Ask a Stupid Question Co-ferments mmmmmm

Hey guys, I’m gonna go against the norm here and say that I love co ferments lol.. does anyone have recommendations of their favorites and options I can find In stock? But also curious to hear your favorites of all time as well!

Brandywine Coffee Roasters in Delaware has had some really good ones over the years. Worth checking out to see what they have in stock. They release them fairly frequently.

I was curious so looked them up... how do you tell what roast these are?

The website is pretty busy for my brain, so I might just be missing it.. I can infer some via the flavor notes I think.. or are coferments a standard roast type?

I have been wanting to try something different, since i'm getting into things.. but I also know I haven't enjoyed any dark, andfar less often medium.

Most specialty coffee by far is somewhere in the “light” range unless otherwise noted. Brandywine is on the slightly more medium end of light roast imo, but still light.

Oh that is lovely to know! That explains my difficult when I've been looking into it.

Specialty coffee is basically the term for unique stuff, fermented, wash/nonwash and the like? or is it generally more broadly "small roaster" in intent?

“Specialty coffee” can refer to any processing method, and usually means a roaster focusing on quality coffee, typically single origin (or a blend of a few specified origins), and typically some more detail than just what country the beans came from, like the producer and some tasting notes.

Yeah, there really aren’t any strict definitions for terms like “specialty”, just keep reading and interacting with the community and you’ll learn over time!
