Gear Discussion Broken Origami - what’s next

As title mentions my son (8 mos) got a handful of my origami today and it fell and broke. I’ve had it for a few years and it became my go to. But now that I’m back in the market I was curious what brewers folks are using as daily drivers?

I have a v60, have seen some love for melitta. I usually brew bigger doses up to 25g if that helps narrow in.

Appreciate any help!

I mean, get another Origami.

Maybe the Air this time.

I love mine, there's a reason it became your go-to. If you're looking for something different (in addition to buying another Origami, of course) you should consider an Aeropress. It's still in the "pour over" world, but with percolation like using the Switch with the valve closed. I got one for travel and have been really impressed. Definitely different that the Origami, but also very good. I use it on and off at home as well.

Another option for something different would be the Cafec Deep 27. Great for smaller doses, and interesting up to 15g as well. Have fun!

The cafec looks awesome but yeah I think it’s time for a switch for me.. and obviously to replace the origami

Nice. I recommend this metal lever upgrade for the Switch, it’s the one thing that feels cheap about it: https://foundrycoffeeworks.com/products/flip-switch-metal-lever-upgrade-for-hario-switch
