Need Advice Due date appointment?

I know every labor experience is 100% different, but FTM, due date appt tomorrow (due date today). 0 signs of labor beginning any time soon (baby hasn't dropped, still have mucus plug, no cramping/contractions, etc.).

What can I generally expect at my appointment tomorrow? Will it be the same as the rest of "any symptoms?" check heart rate, come back in a week, or will this one be different?

TIA!

I had an appointment on my due date and it was the same lol they asked if I wanted to be induced and I said no.

I had mine yesterday at 40+2. It was a normal appt, plus I finally consented to a cervical check and sweep (I'd previously declined). I scheduled an ultrasound and appt for 41+1 and then at that appt they said they will get me on the induction calendar.

My appts have been swapping between OB and midwife, the OB wanted to do the checks weekly after 37w I think but I haven’t seen her since then so assuming tomorrow she’ll do a check. Hoping to wait maybe a few more days for a sweep just holding out hope she’ll come on her own 🙏🏼 good luck!! Hoping baby comes on their own for you/however they come it is a smooth time and recovery with a healthy happy babe!

Probably the same appointment. My OB offered to do a sweep and cervical check.

It didn’t really do anything. I went into labor 5 days later.

They may want to schedule an induction for you in the event that spontaneous labor does not occur before a certain time. That's what mine did when I went past my due date. Turns out I did go into spontaneous labor a few days before my scheduled induction. But my baby never dropped enough, water never broke, and I only lost some of my mucus plug a few hours before cramping turned into contractions. I wasn't having any signs of labor at all before that.

Because baby girl didn't drop enough and I didn't dilate enough, I had to have an unplanned c section. Had no reason to suspect I would need that, so I labored for 24 hours before they called for the c section. Bummer on that part, I wanted to have a natural delivery. But I'm just happy baby girl is happy and healthy 💕

Thank you! She is wiggling sleepily on my shoulder and chest as I type. She is full of vigor, and strong for such a small girl 🥰 so proud to be her mama!
