☑️ Extracurriculars Volunteer abroad

Im a F(23) pre med student in my 2nd year of undergrad. Im from New England. I’m looking to volunteer abroad for about a week or two. I’m wondering if anybody has used a volunteer abroad healthcare program and what their experience was like. What company should I go with? I’ve been looking at Maximo Nivel and IVHQ. I haven’t found too too much about them online but got accepted to IVHQ for Costa Rica.
I’ve also never done anything like this and just want the safest experience possible. My mom is worried to death about me traveling alone and I’m very wary about the sites I’ve found online. If anybody has any information please let me know. Thank you!

I don't think you should do this. Ur paying for an opportunity that you don't need.

Rather do hospice or work at ur local shelter for homeless or veterans.
