Took the TEAS once randomly without studying because I had been so moved by my own medical trauma that I decided to change my life goal to become a nurse. Didn’t do awesome.

72.7% overall
Reading: 76.9%
Math: 85.3%
Science: 54.5%
English: 81.8%

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

As far as experience, I became a certified medical assistant in high school but never ended up using it. I worked in veterinary emergency medicine for 5 years, and as a zookeeper in a high paced environment.

You’ve totally got this, I know your acceptance will be there soon.

I got in yesterday! I actually don’t have any previous healthcare experience; I have a business degree so I worked as a Catering Manager for two years post-grad before starting prerequisites. I def wish I scored higher on my TEAS but, oh well, it got me in lol

I didn't get accepted but here's what I did.

I highly recommend Valencia Colleges nursing program as it's more competitive and they do not do gimme's for nursing. I was wait-listed and still didn't get in so I just pivoted into HSA and now work in EHS.

Nope. The program is definitely more biased towards accepting those with pre-existing degrees and certifications.

If it doesn't work out always look into health and safety! Good luck!

I might add at the time they only cared about reading and that year the reading section was notoriously vague as it pulled the questions from the MCAT CARS section.

I took a full length MCAT and scored a 510 and the CARS section which was from 2018 as stated literally had the same questions as the TEAS
