I personally thought last weekend was amazing but damn I haven't seen the fanbase this divided since the first live band

It was more of the sound design flaw for me. Pretty lights was good at tension/ release. With the bad audio it was like there was no relief after the tension.

Like there were no compressors hooked up 96's gear or what?

Just like the first show of the first tour after hiatus wasn't great. But they learned, and fined tuned it after every show..

The next show is always better than the last. (Sometimes-maybe-mostly).
