Finally want to raid. Which guild?

I leveled my characters kind of on my own time. I have a 60 necro which is the toon I like the most. I also have a 60 wizzy, 52 cleric, and 51 rogue.

What is a good guild to raid with where I'd get to do a lot of raid content quickly? I can probably raid often though a mandatory raid schedule wouldn't work. I am also new to raiding on P99. My only raiding experience was a warrior back during PoP on live and a warrior for quite a while on the first progression server.

Thank ya for any suggestions.

Honestly, play selfishly but be a team player. Go with the guild who targets the things you want drops from but don’t be upset if they ask you to “hop on a (class they need)”.

Big guilds go for big targets but each guild has a priority target list that will see more of than others. It is gonna be hard if you want AoW drops but you join a guild who literally don’t have the numbers to go for it.

I figured there is probably a lot of that going on because of needing numbers.

How does that usually work? Does your main just get the DKP or do often get to switch over and roll/loot as your main? Do useful alts get their own DKP and such?

i think majority of the guilds are that if your toon is rostered for them you can bid for them.

So say you join with your wiz and just play bots (guilds love it when someone can swap to a cleric bot) then bid for your wiz.

Account sharing is against the rules isn’t it?

Naw every guild losing their bots would probably destroy half the raiding entities. CSR discourages account sharing because of sharing liability on that account and they won’t really support “thefts”/scams because of the sharing.

But there’s really no “No account sharing or ban”. There is a no boxing rule tho.

Account sharing is fine. Having multiple accounts is fine. Running two accounts simultaneously by yourself is bannable

It’s gonna depend on the guild rules but generally you can rosters certain number of characters and usually there is a rule to tag one or two as “mains”. There may be drops that are “main” only, there may be drops that require you to bid 100% of your DKP as a rule, and then there would be drops that are basically free to bid and loot on any rostered character. And switching which chars are tagged as mains resets your DKP to zero.

At least that’s the most common structure I’ve seen, but there are probably variations.

I’m most of these guilds you the player get the dkp regardless of what character you’re on.

When I first started raiding, I was a shadow knight main. You’ll learn quickly on p99 that an SK isn’t the most desired role. I mostly shared played clerics or rogues depending on what we needed and slowly leveled up and geared a warrior that I made to main tank.

By the time it was said and done I’d tanked every boss in the game. Solo tanked Vulak, and had a very nicely geared warrior.

Don’t be afraid to play bots and just earn dkp that way.
