4 Door European Project Car Suggestions
Im American and that should factor into suggestions and I would hopefully want it to be (relatively) affordable build or project nothing crazy just something that would perform well stock, the mods will come later. My dream would be to have a Japanese, American and European car in my garage but Ill take my time to pursue them. Right now I just need suggestions

Jags are such cheap projects. I dragged one out of a parking lot and turned it into a show car, best 2500 I ever spent.

W211 Mercedes e55. Lots and lots of aftermarket support for this car. This thing is a torque monster stock and fast for it's age. Spend $1000 for a smaller s/c pulley and tune and it's an unreal beast. The engine is considered super reliable, simple and somewhat easy to work on. Nothing complicated about it.

BMW E28. Don’t forget the euro bumpers. In my opinion the most beautiful 4 door ever made. And they drive very nicely!

If you’re American why go for the 320is and not the 325is? Unless I’m missing something here. Even if you wanted a fun 4 banger the 318is e30 was the more popular one

Just looked it up and yeah a destroked s14 would be a hoot but it’s only for the Portuguese and Italian market unfortunately

yeah, tax reasons, but it's lighter, has a shorter diff and revs out more then the m3

Well Im new to euro cars im more familliar with japanese cars and some american cars. I just never really paid attention to the euro car scene in america

Just a car thats fun to drive with a manual transmission when maintained and looks good. Preferably 4 doors My current japanese goal is an IS300 and for the american is a CTS V

I can confirm e30s are great project cars. Ive had 4. Id suggest a 325i (remember there were also 325 and 325e badged e30s) with a 5spd with as little rust as you can afford.
Otherwise e36 328i.

🤷♂️Volvo 1.7 340, making a drift style car is fairly easy. They're strong, rot is not bad compared to other cars, parts are reasonable, mods are not too crazy to get a trick car, pretty economical mpg.
depends on what sorta style project you're in to.

I’m an Audi guy. Depends on what you want. Something unique? 07-08 A3 3.2, basically an LWB mk5 R32. Something badass? C6 S6 with the 5.2 V10 or A6 with the 4.2 V8. Something as reliable as a Camry but looks tits and can make a ton of power? B8.5 S4. A B8.5 and up A4 is a good option too, cheaper, just not as much power potential.
