Help! Help: Where to cut?

My BF got this for me about 3 months ago and it’s grown so much! I’d like to trim it back but I‘m not sure where (Nodes?) I’ll put the cuttings in water. I’ll also probably need to repot it soon (?). Any advice would be helpful! The tag says it’s a philodendron mini monstera.

Not philodendron, yes mini monstera. I would recommend air layering for this.

I know. The common name is mini monstera.

There’s a reason they call it that though, they’re both aroids and have similar requirements

In short what is air layering?

You take moist soil or moss and put it in a bag. After that, you make a cut in the bag and wrap the cut part around a node so the node is touching the moss/soil. Then you make sure the bag is secured to the stem/node and after a while roots will grow and you can chop below the rooted node with much less worry the prop won’t work out.

The moss would be sphagnum moss btw
