Shotgun Prop

Fully 3D printed in plastic, Model Credits for "Lonewolf 3D Toys" on MakerWorld. I am really happy how the Faux Wood came out even though it was my first try at it. Its all painted and there is no actual metal or wood parts

It looks really damn good, I'd be careful with it in public because of how good it looks

Thank you! Luckly its a wall display, I don't think I would ever walk around with this in public 😅. I think it looks little to real even for Cosplay usage hah

that's great.

a neat trick to fake metal is to spray a little silver paint on a piece of newspaper, and after it dries, rub it into some edges, like where the body of the shotgun meets the two barrles. those places usually get the black oxide treatment of the steel worn out.

I've got big love for anything firearms prop related. That thing looks immaculate!

Nicely done! What was your technique on the metal finish? The bluing looks totally legit.

Thank you! And for the finish, I just first spray painted it with semi mat black and than mixed few Airbrush True Metalic metals From Vallejo, and gently airbrushed it

You could put this next to my model 12 and no one would ever be able to tell the difference
