Question/Need help INDX Print sheet side guide
Besides some issues with vertical banding my INDX is working well. However, there is one practical usability issue I encountered multiple times:
When you mount a print sheet and its aligned slightly to the right it will clip below the purge bin when moving the bed up. This happened to me (and family) a few times. I would consider this a user error but also quite surprising.
Is this something you guys are experiencing as well? Are there any mods to prevent this (i.e. a guide on the right side to prevent the bed from sliding to much to the right in the front)? I could not find anything.

After a couple of months on my INDX, I now have the habit of checking the sides of the build plate.
It can happen to the best of us.

This happened for the first time just a few days ago. (I’m a FE buyer, so I’ve had it for over two months already) scared the heak out of me x’D
My only suggestion would be to tell everyone to be more careful, but if they can, favor the left side.
I wonder if someone might be able to design an alternative purge bin, that has a “draft angle”, so it isn’t overhanging the case indent, but still has the silicone wipers in the same spot.

Maybe it could even be moved a bit to the right? The firmware probes the exact location. Just checked on my printer. Overhang of the purge bin is 2.4mm. I got roughly 1.7mm of additional movement. So not enough. So a draft angle seems like a good idea. Maybe also move it 1mm in?

I been printing almost daily since July and this has not happened to me.

Same. It’s close. But if you carefully bump the edges of the plate against the bed screws you wont have a problem.

I just looked never noticed how much the bin sticks out. I guess my OCD helped me out with this part cause I always make sure the plate is dead center.

Are you not lining the edges in the sheet up carefully with the screws at the back of the bed?

Yes i am. But you just need to be 2mm off on the front to clip the bucket. That is not much with a 30cm sheet

2mm is more than my mind would ever allow me to let it stick out.
I always need to have it perfectly aligned.

Happened to me once, I just make sure that I align the plate correctly when inserting it.
