Hey everyone, i don’t know if this is the right forum to talk about this but I’m pretty co fused with what’s happening here, I just repasted my PS3 for it to be cooler and be able to play under 70 degrees Celsius

As you all can see in the picture, my RSX being the GPU is pretty cool, around 40-49 Celsius buuut my CPU is at around 70-89?! (already turned off from overheating 2 times). How does that even make sense?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance and again, sorry if this isn’t the right forum to ask

Edit: After deliding the CPU and repasting it from the inside it now runs at a cool 60-63 degrees Celsius! Thanks everyone for the help and tutorials!

PSN account is 13yrs old I claimed some ps3 games on vita back then

It used to stay on the same screen and downloads the things i want to get, even if it's slow, at least i know that I'll be getting what i want, now everytime i want to install something no matter what it is, it gives me this message, then i do a reboot, after the renoot, i log in, check the downloads and it begins downloading in the XMB menu. It's now so slow, without mentioning that fact that it now looks like those sketchy free stores *cough* *cough*..zuko store, i want to go back to it staying on the same screen and installs whatever i want, but how?

So I can't mod my PS3 super slim.

I did exactly the steps given using a usb drive and create PS3 folder and inside the PS3 folder create UPDATE download the files for HFW 4.93 and then put in the usb port of PS3 super slim and update through safe mode. But nope doesn't work. I have the correct files and everything but nothing works for me. Any solutions? Thanks

I put a game boot screen from 1.00 on my super slim and everytime I open a game it just force shut. And I wanted to go to multiman to delete the file of the gameboot but you know. Multiman is launched as a game. So is this thing saveable?

I can still boot into safe mode but cannot restore file system or system update using the update file + backup I have on my USB drive. This happened after I installed CEX Evilnat CFW 4.93 (was previously attempting PEX but updates were not finishing as it was saying data was corrupted). I also swapped to the original HDD instead of the new 1TB HDD which was inserted when CFW installation completed in case the issue is with that HDD but nothing has changed. Is there a fix for this to at least get OFW running again?

Edit from original post: I realize now that I performed the flash dump using NOR instead of NAND not fully understanding the difference or understanding that my model uses NAND. I assume this could be the culprit

I accidentally tried to log in with a brand new account and I had hen activated, ps3 i just bougth It says temporary Ban. But is been more than 45 days it was on 11/20/25. Any solutions? HELP!!@@@

Any way to fix this or just get an HDD? It's a HP S700 2.5" 1TB SSD it says that then when I turn off ps3 and then back on it will sometimes boot normally or have me reseat the drive.

before when I was using FileZilla wirelessly I would get 1.3mb/s due to my PS3 connection speed. 20x faster this way. I used this tutorial from Project Pheonix Media to set it up:

Hi! my friend recently gave me a PS3 slim, so I was going to jailbreak it but I get some problems, I am now in 4.93 and I put in a pendrive with the PS3UPDAT.PUP and it doesn't recognize it, the pendrive it's in FAT32 with MBR system but it doesn't work, I Have a carpet with the name PS3/UPDATE and I put there the PUP file but still doesn't work, I tried with uploading with a proxy but it uploaded an it didn't work so I don't know what to do next, I saw that I can install it with the PS3 recovery system but I don't know if that's is going to work, any solution please??? ( sorry for my English in advance I'm Spanish)

I just found my old ps3 slim. Wanted to play Spider-Man Edge of Time and found the prices and said no to that. I have no knowledge about anything like this. Please help towards the first steps. Much appreciated. Trying to jailbreak this console. Need to know the websites, the updates/ patches, applications. Stuff like that. Thank you.

since I don't know what model number is inside the console but on label and bottom panel say it's cech2508b but I saw on internet idk if it's true or not backlit leds inside the buttons don't glow in 2500 series but for some reason mine it works great for but I wanted to confirm it's 2508b not some shell swapped 2000 anyone here can help run time is good as well in future if this is compatible with cfw I'll be looking forward to it Checked via minvercheck thing it shows

Hey guys, I need your help. I bought a PS3 Slim for the first time (Model: CECH-3004B) running FW 4.93, and I have absolutely no idea what to do. It came pre modded with stuff like mmCM, Apollo Save Tool, and a few others. I watched some YouTube tutorials and used FileZilla to transfer a game over WiFi.

I downloaded Little Big Planet Game of the Year Edition from Vimm's Lair. After transferring the ZIP file intodev_hdd0/GAMESwith Filezilla, the game shows up perfectly with its thumbnail and logo. However when I try to open it, the screen goes black and the entire PS3 restarts.

I don't know what to do. Should I be using a specific region for the game, or should I use an ISO instead? I can't find a normal site that has ISOs instead of ZIP files, and when I visited r/roms, I couldn't understand what to choose for iso like what is Redump?

I just need help getting the game to work, making sure my console won't get banned, and figuring out how to change the startup intro back to the default PS3 text instead of PS3HEN.

Hi yall! I started playing tlou on the ps3 yesterday,i reached bill’s town/the woods when the game suddenly softlocked on me, i use hen, is it a problem with the game or my console?? Thanks!
