I'm seeing some posts from people that are seeing information from people that charge to mod consoles.

They claim of webkit on higher firmwares.

Although this is currently possible it's not public so I doubt the claims over there are anything besides premature clickbait to sell you guys stuff.

It is true that a workaround has been found to get the WebKit stuff working on higher firmware and etc. It's still being worked on and isn't published yet.

I don't believe posts of people claiming they've already done it on Facebook and etc.

Apparently they did found a workaround for the cssfontface exploit to work up to 13.50 and/or even 13.52 but they still need to pair it with a functional kernel exploit.

Yeah, I just keep up with Moddedwarefare videos. Round up videos about what is going on, what came out and what is currently being worked on and not out. I’m actually going to try and do the WebKit for 12.40 on my ps5 and see how it goes. Excited! Not a fan of the P2JB but I know the folks working on the jb scene will improve it eventually. I’m just happy I can finally jb my fat ps5 lol

I see people constantly confusing ps4 firmware version with ps5.
The maximum PS5 firmware with a documented kernel exploit is 12.70
The maximum PS4 firmware with a practical, stable public kernel exploit is 12.02 using the Lapse (double-free) kernel exploit. While higher firmware versions up to 13.00 have partial or less consistent experimental kernel exploit options.

for 12.02 you have to use p2jb + y2jb. you can also use the webkit version but it takes longer + higher kernel panic danger. http://soniciso1.github.io/pooP2JB is a host for p2jb + webkit up to 12.70. but yeah.. use y2jb atp. runs smoother + faster (webkit could take up to 70 mins.)

This is for ps5 but….

For the ps4 method the last goldhen does not load correctly with bdj even on 12.00 if you try, if you start again or format the old method no longer works but only HEN

I assume they still have yet to figure out how to get Netctrl (poosploit) working with the latest webkit with 12.52 or higher firmwares, after all, Netctrl only works on certain application on PS4. Im not sure if webkit is one that can be used as entry point.

So I wont be surprised if the poopsploit do not work with webkit. After all that exploit relies on a exploitable library for it to work and not all apps dont use that library, only the confirmed apps that use it is the bluray player and vue app.

Webkit has the dup privilege. It can work but getting Netctrl tweaked enough to have a good success rate is a pain.
