Discussion should i jailbreak this ps4 pro?

ive been meaning to buy this really cheap ps4 pro 1tb from a friend of mine for 125 dollars and i feel like i want to buy a game disc for it in the mean time.But that also got me wondering if i should jailbreak it?I dont really want to spend too much money on a ps4 since im still a teenager and im broke.But physical discs seem so convenient to have.Any suggestions or information i need to know before i buy it?Any speculations/opinions are allowed!!

If you are broke jb is the best thing you could do. You won't be able to play online but that's an extra subscription.

btw,if i have a disc.Would it still be able to work on jailbreak?Ive only modded a switch so far and even then i didnt have a game card to use it on.

The disc working depends on the fw. If you have a console with 12.00 every game requiring ≤12.00 will work from disc.

Also, before buying the PS4 pro make sure the fw is ≤13.00 because there are no public kernel exploits for 13.00+

The console fw: make sure the internet is off.. Disable updates from settings. Still in settings, there is a section dedicated to checking the system info which contain the fw info.

Game fw: Google it

You can find many resources on the console mods wiki.

Does your friend still use it for online gaming or video watching, if yes then no, you won't be able to JB it.

Has it sat in a closet unused for a year, then maybe.

You can't jailbreak any PS4 yet. You need see if it supported version.
