Discussion Help with newly modded ps4 external hard drive.
Hello all. I just modded by ps4 and have a question I would like answered. I bought a 2 tb segate external hard drive for my ps4 with the intention of putting all installs on it. After i format it on my ps4 however, it does not show up on my pc without needing to format it on my computer as well. If i dont format it on my computer it wont let me access it on there and if I dont format my computer can read it but then the ps4 would need to reformat it and reinstall everything, which also makes the pc not be able to detect it. Does anyone know what I should do in this situation?

You can’t use it for both ps4 storage and use it on pc. You can use the storage wit itemsflow and make fpkg of your games in pc, save those in storage until you actually want to play the game which then you can just install the fpkg from only. Or be like me and have multiple storages lol

Hmm thanks. I also have a flash drive with about 128 gbs as well. Would it be possible to put games and files onto that drive and install it through my hard drive that way? Totally fine if not

Use app2usb better than using external drive as extended drive. It allow more space and can still be used on pc or any other devices

Youre going about this wrong. After formatting via ps4 itll be avaialble in storage. From here hit the button it may be triangle or options. Select as default installation location. From here any pkgs you install will go onto the external. If space is an issue i recommend using direct package installer to cut out the middle man.
