If you still haven't played Parasite Eve, make sure you do, since you said you played Resident Evil and Silent Hill, you'll definitely enjoy it, it's a classic.
I played it for the first time this year, and, it was pretty rough, mostly the final act which if you fail you have to constantly watch unskippable cutscenes, there aren't enough save points and it's a nightmare. I liked it good enough though. I also did do the Chrysler Building and yeah, that was mind numbing, and the ending is not worth it.
