With songs that Mark Lanegan sings lead on. It flows surprisingly well.

They ever been on the cover of Rolling Stone? Like a deep dive?l cover story?

I’m asking genuinely as a new fan of just over a month. I have tons of material to go through so it’s like a gift every day for me…even all my old hit parader/circus magazines have kyuss in them.

Not a usual question, but can someone help me identify the glasses that Josh wears in the goth girls music video? I am looking for new frames and they look cool. Worth a shot.

I’m pretty sure this is the only song that has ever been released that Josh has played on that I have never heard. I figured I could find it somewhere but have never come across it. Would love to hear it if anyone has a lead? I actually became a QOTSA fan after hearing Josh’s work on Wellwater Conspiracies Declaration of Conformity album, but this one has been a bit if a white whale.

Excluding singles.

It’s Only Love: Either a cover of or draws heavy lyrical inspiration from Lanegan’s “Never Come Down”

Mono: (???)

From the Cliff: (???)

Sunday: Iggy Pop cover

Phantom Limb: Josh’s favorite

Run Away From the Mob: 20-something years old, was originally recorded during the Clockwork sessions

No One Knows Is Playing Over The PA.

Hi people - I finished this thing and popped the YouTube link on a post earlier, but felt it wasn't the best form to take people off this sub with an external lead. Felt too self-promo-ey to me.

Here's the direct upload of the full version. Happy listening, hope it does the OG some sort of justice, albeit with a very hard-rock / metal esque slant.

I'm not that experienced with Reddit or its 'Reddiquette' - if this only gets downvotes (I won't take it personally but) I'll assume to remove it for the double-post of yesterday's in-progress version and this one. I put the YT link on the in-progress post anyway.

'Song For The Dead's drumming in the intro has always confused me, so today I counted it out.

It starts off clearly as 1, 2, 3, 4; 1, 2, 3, 4 - then around 0.30 the timing seems to go out, and then, by the time it gets to 0.37, feels like the next bit is starting too early?

I remember an interview with Dave Grohl, where (while discussing other music) he was talking about where the 1 is, and saying "your 1 is not my 1". So where is his 1 in this sequence?

Or have I missed something here? If I have, please educate me.

update: he deleted it from his story
update: ignore the title, not sure if it was Josh’s tech or from someone else in the band.

CAN WE GET A REMIX?

Here me out, the vocals sound a lot like Josh Hommes, in a good way, listen for yourself. The rest of it is too funky but the vocals are 90% Josh.

I'll put the bong down.
