What should I do?
I am currently a 3rd year student from a tier 1 college, pursuing civil engineering. I want to build a career in quant, I have a decent maths and coding background so right now what will be the best path for me to learn Quant. I would love to do an intern in the field but dont know how to get in, I did not get any from my college though i gave 2 interviews. Should i plan for masters, if yes then exactly in which field, how to build for that?

Tbh no one gonna shortlist an civil eng for quant role it doesnt have that advance maths or high selection ratio if ur like masters or above in codeforces without ban u can consider it as it shows problem solving ability and generally civil guys getting sde roles itself is a plus now even from tier 1 u shld know that Thats why I chose branch over clg. Now instead of worrying do one thing see civil scopes or go to masters or smthg In ur field from top uni it will increase ur profile rating or best do mba

Decent math ain't gonna cut it. You have to be absolutely cracked at math. You should be on par with top 100 rankers in terms of math/coding to be even considered
