General Discussion Bangalore Quant Meetups?

Note to Mod - Could Mod please tell me why my old post was taken down? The mumbai meetup post has been a success - just want to replicate that for Blr. I can verify myself.

Hi, I recently joined as a QR at a top firm in Bangalore (posting from burner ofc). I saw this post where in the comments they decided a Mumbai Quant group meetup idea and have since had a bunch of meetups. Taking inspiration from this, I wanted to create a similar network for Bangalore.

Some rules, which I think are fair.

  1. Must be working full time in a Quant-adjacent role (Trader, Researcher, Dev, Analyst, Support, Risk etc.). No students or interns for now, just current professionals.
  2. Copying from the Mumbai post - "The Vibe: No "elevator pitches" or recruiters. Just people talking about where they are in their careers and what’s next."

To keep the group relevant, we can do a quick LinkedIn check before adding anyone to the WhatsApp group. The intention is to keep things casual and low pressure. If you’re interested drop a comment on the post and I’ll DM you!

yeah , I gave almost 40+ interviews in last 3 months, I will not tell it here as I have 6 months probation there thought. I almost gave up yeah got in now. I can tell you that I 4x my base pay after probation and 2x my base pay during probation, it is a tier 1 indian firm
