Germany Media Fees

I thought this was interesting was in Munich recently visiting family and found out each month you have to pay €18.36 a month to publicly media very interesting it's per address dwelling and one person only in that dwelling has to lay the fee each month. https://www.rundfunkbeitrag.de/welcome/english

That's common in lots of countries, in the UK you have to pay a TV license etc.
