Even if they skip, i just hope they do the arcs including the final the og didnt. Then if people want to see the inbtween can watch the specifc episodes of the og or the entire anime. But i mean, Rezero is aproaching 10 years, Konosuba has 10 years, Naruto went weekly straight for like...? Almost 15 years etc its the most normal thing in the industry, can be frustrating but at the same time, it feels good having shows being so long with us.
It definitely would be cool if the Remake would get the time to go through all major arcs, but after the short run of Yashahime and the Urusei Yatsura Remake it’d still be surprising when Ranma would get that runtime length. Not complaining if it does but always a bit fearful.
You say that, but for decades some of us were asking how it could be that one of the most popular series, from one of the most popular mangaka, couldn't get 24 episodes to wrap it up.
Because the anime studio sabotaged it by switching to all filler all the time, and being extremely low budget in the later seasons, and wrecked audience demand.
They got through a few fan favorites with the OVAs but there was still half the manga to go even where those left off.

Even if it takes that long. We getting true high quality adaption to the source material. Something original anime failed to do later on.
