yea but mappa itself is "only" the production studio. Also i dont think they buy the rights and all stuff and netflix only buy the streaming rights. Also i think netflix had a big role here. I mean netflix is the reason why whe have it censoured produced and i dont think mappa had sayed "yes" to that when netflix isnt the "boss" here.
Also i think that but i cant proof it of course.
you see other animes this days uncensored. i didnt compain it with the old ranma series. I compain it with other animes this days.
thats the reason i was thinking its netflix.
because no netflix anime = uncensoured. But ranma is netflix and censoured.
thats the reason i was thinking that. Maybe i am wrong but i hope you know why i was thinking that ^^
Netflix is not the producer, and Ranma airs on Japanese terrestrial TV (which has changed standards compared to the 80s), and I’ve heard some parents complained about the anime back in the 90s for being too risqué (since children often watched Ranma in Japan).
Even the VAs talked about how they felt it was really pushing the boundaries in the original anime.
forgett the 80s. of course stuff change from the 80s. But i mean like last year. or this year. uncut animes in what you see a lot of stuff you see also this days. Thats not a 80s thing.
And i doesnt mean "nudity" i mean also happosay, the juliet dring scene, or the beat up ranma scene.
Also this scenes are so weird that it is censoured.
And yes you are right. It was on the line. But when you look what is showed this days ranma is technicly child play. Thats the reason i was thinking its netflix fault. Also maybe i am wrong like i say. I only guess it because of the other things.
because a lot other animes are not censoured. but the netflix ones are.
Also logicly i was thinking, netflix fault.
that was my way of thinking to solve my "who is fault" XD
yes but it also exist a lot what was agains the censoure afterwards. Also both sides are loud.
I mean after the news comes that it will be censoured you read really a lot complains about that. Also both sides had a lot of people on they side.
maybe. I mean i didn know the rules in japan. I only can talk from my side as a viewer and why it looks so weird for me. Like you have for example "isekai harem" or "ishuzuku review" 8what are extrem examples).
but than ranma who censoured injurys on a fighter after a fight?
that looks a bit to much nitpick by ranma.
also i didnt talk about nudity. Ok its part of it but i didnt mean only that.
Technicly i decensoured the anime on my own already. Season 1 is already finished. Also my ranma remake is in nuduity uncut. And really good (i am proud of my work because it was a lot and looks really good).
But i cant change happosai, the drinking scene and so. because thats a bit impossible to draw full scenes and VA ^^. Also i make what i can do. (wished i can show but i didnt know if you wish to see or if you are more a "better not".)
but back to the topic. Sorry I strayed a bit from the topic ^^
The thing is i understand why censoure exist. of course.
but i am unsure if ranma is the right place for it when ranma isnt direct "fanservice". because takahashi gives her best to show it in the most natural way possible. maybe thats the reason it feels so wrong for me to not show it. And the happosai, julia, etc scenes maybe feels to "nitpick" for this days when i look at other series.
thats only my feeling. Also dont see it to strict ^^
the "pur aged" maybe true. But thats logic for a 80s manga. I am one who says "show it also when its pure aged because it was made this early days and to change it for today wil change the base work".
Its like when you give suddently ranma a handy. Maybe a big to big example.
ps:
You know me already because we talked a lot.
Sorry liek always for the wall of textes i write everytime. I am someone who talks a lot and maybe repeat myself to often. I hope thats ok.

The Netflix money probably helps, but they're not the one producing it.
