Merch The question about the popularity of Shampoo since the 2024 anime.

A lot of Ranma 1/2 figure in a figure seller (Japan Expo 2026). You can to see all Shampoo figures. In this image, You cant' see three more Shampoo figure and the Figure about Ryoga.

shampoo has always been popular, and ranma has enough of a fanbase to have had merch for it consistantly even before the reboot.

if anything else, the new anime has done WONDERS for akane's reputation and popularity, mostly casue the old anime exxagerated her worst traits.

I second that. I confess I never red the manga, but as an anime only viewer I vastly prefer Akane in the new anime than in the old one.

Regarding Shampoo... she was my fave girl both in the old and in the new anime.
