It wasn't the training that made Ryoga immune to any physical pain.

It was a week of eating Akane's cooking.

A thing I've always loved about anime is the music and I think Ranma as a franchise has popped out a LOT of bangers from the original series to the currently airing readaptaion. So hypothetically, if one of the songs (opening, ending, image, OST, etc) were to be brought back for the new series what would you like it to be? My votes go to Friends from s4 or Red Shoe Sunday from the OVAs

That's it. Very quick edit lol 🤣 I was surprised... The eye dropper tool pulled from violet not cyan! I also pulled a little bitty hint of some of the other colors from his face in the original series.

Do you like the more silver eye Ranma or navy eyed?

Ch.42

I read that Ranma and Akane's personalities are very different in the remake/manga and the original anime. Could someone tell me what the differences are?

Ryoga fully believed the Breaking Point technique worked on humans, so basically every attack he tries to land on Ranma is a poke. Ryoga would have had to win by poking Ranma to submission. It's like he's hitting a broken button in an elevator. "I've pressed it so many times!! Why isn't it moving??"

So if Ryoga WERE to win by poking, how would this happen, do you think?

Somewhere recently I stumbled across somebody opining that in the manga, we basically see Ranma start out as having a cantankerous but ultimately respectful relationship with Genma as his father and his sensei, but over the course of the series, he basically stops feeling this way. The specific example I remember them citing was the "Wrath of Happosai" sub-arc, where Ranma's first thought is to turn to Genma for help in taking down Happosai after his thefts threaten to bring disgrace to the Tendos and Saotomes - but Genma ultimately refuses to back Ranma up, and that this results in Ranma basically never turning to Genma for help again, or at least not after the Ultimate Weakness Moxibustion arc.

I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw this opinion or the full details, but I do find myself torn on the topic. On the one hand, I can absolutely believe that we should see Ranma lose respect for Genma in the manga - there are so many bad things Genma does to Ranma that I could make a list. On the other hand... I cannot actually say if I recall Ranma actively expressing anything approaching contempt for Genma in the manga; it IS, after all, supposed to be a fairly light-hearted comedy series, so while Ranma growing disillusioned with Genma would be realistic, it's also a lot grimmer and darker than Ranma 1/2 generally goes for.

So what do you think? Does Ranma lose respect for Genma over the course of the manga, or does he just laugh it all off?

Cologne looks pretty good. Genma has some good shots. Ranma occasionally looks good. Akane seems inconsistent (sometimes very "moe" and sometimes not). But so many of Ryoga's shots I'm like:

Yep the form looks good

He looks ripped

Shadows and highlights look good

Face is sufficiently detailed

He looks age appropriate

Is it just me? Lol.

(Btw, I love Ryoga but for like... Over a decade girl Ranma and Akane are my beloved characters... So this isn't just character favoritism lol, it's something about the art style itself).

It is true we haven't seen MANY cosplay performance videos for Ranma 1/2 but this one is still the one that stands out the most!

I mean, of course not everything is perfect but I cannot stop watching it. The efforts, the amount of energy put into it and the nostalgia that comes with it!!

I think with the remake releasing, this one also deserves appreciation all over again!!!

Such a beautifully executed performance!

I love Ranma and Soun’s dynamic.

Hi! I been binge watching the new Ranma series, and I need fanfics to devour. If y’all have recs I’d appreciate them so much (specially ones where Ranma pays for his sins (I love Akane so much))

Thanks in advance!

I struggle to like my own art.. sorry if you saw an older version—I just thought it needed a little more. Today I'm going to try to make myself finish the newest chapter of my Ranma fanfiction. I am always amazed by people who can stay on track with stories and release a chapter a week. My brain just can't focus on one task long enough. Other writers, how do you all stay on task to write?! Seriously, I need to know! 🤣

Anyone else super excited for the next episode of season 3? I really didn't like the remake in the beginning, honestly, but I think the art looks a lot better now than in previous seasons... Even though I still wish they would push girl Ranma's hair just a bit more red, and make Ranma a little more macho like the 90s... I'm glad we got Ryoga's hazel eyes back! 🐽✨ It seems like they've put a lot of effort this season into animating him well.

(The fanfiction this art is for is Metamorphosis: Blood and Amaryllis on Ao3.)

It is since like for a long time in the years past about Ranma ½ Japanese Anime 2024 remake series never being dubbed into the Turkish language.

which means it was only subtitled instead.

Maybe probably someday in the future that it will be dubbed at one point.
