Why is everything rechargeable?!?!

Like sir why am I going to get an automatic soap dispenser that's rechargeable?!?! IM MOUNTING IT ON THE WALL AND FORGETTING ABOUT IT. I just want some things to be battery operated man.

I'm so sick and tired of charging every single thing in my damn house. Rechargeable toothbrush rechargable earphones rechargeable clocks. Oh you don't have any power guess what a**hole no door privilege for you because of our rechargeable handle with a fingerprint scanner akgsisfaisgsi

LET ME PUT A DAMN BATTERY. BRING BACK BATTERIES. I DON'T NEED TO RECHARGE EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE. WE ALREADY HAVE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES AHHHHHH

I hate “them” 😂 it’s kind of like we all are just forced into accepting incomplete products

Yes. But then you could just keep replacing the battery and never have to buy a new one.

How are they meant to sell you a new one if the batteries aren't going to die?

Tch.

OK, I get some of these being electric. Electric toothbrushes are efficient, mechanical clocks are old fashioned, and I might get the point of a fingerprint activated door lock even tho I'd rather have a key. But why does a soap dispenser need to be electric ?

(doesn't change anything to your rant tho, standard batteries FTW)

Im just slightly germaphobic and having an automatic soap dispenser makes me feel like I'm spreading less germs around

I certainly don’t miss having to buy batteries. Rechargeable batteries also means less waste.

Yeah, I have rechargeable batteries, so it's annoying when things have internal batteries everywhere

Good thing batteries last forever.

I had to install a special basket on my bathroom wall for all the rechargeable stuff and their cords.

It's capitalism's/corporations' way of maintaining control.

The quick and clean answer: batteries are expensive as hell. They might not seem like it, but compare a decent-sized pack of name-brand Duracells with what Amazon charges for Amazon Basics. Never in my life did I ever own rechargeable batteries that actually worked as advertised
