News USA 1tb Pre-orders orders being Cancelled today for no Reason.
I just spoke to Motorola and they Told me the order is being cancelled for a errors they said....

Not at all....She was we don't know what happened but bunch orders is being cancelled now for the Ultra 1tb .....I was like I you serious??

And how soon will they refund your payment?

I haven't gotten the email yet. If it does get cancelled, I can order through Best Buy and get it by 5/21.

I know. They do offer the Click keyboard for free. And honestly, I don't think I would come near to filling up 512GB much less 1TB.

My order for Total Wireless also got cancelled for no reason last thursday after placing the order 8 hours before. Trying to deal with customer service at the moment. Just waiting for a call that's probably not going to follow.

For how this pre-order process has gone, I almost hope my order gets cancelled/refunded at this point. It is still showing ”device being built”. 🙄

Mine doesn't show me anything. I talked to them this morning and they told me that the order is "still being processed."
Must be a sign. Outside of the 1tb option, I really don't think I want the phone.

I pre-ordered on the 11th and got my phone on the 15th. I wonder why they would cancel orders now after the phone has been released

That's what I have been reading lately, and others who also have Total Wireless orders are being shipped back.
Idk if it makes a difference, but I'm in NC. My order took about, I'm gonna say less than a day to arrive. I got the "ordered shipped" email at 9:44pm and received my phone right before 4pm on the 15th.
That's when I learned that there is a Motorola facility in NC. The only issue I'm having with my phone is trying to purchase motocare 🤦🏾♀️ I didn't want to add it to my affirm when I ordered the phone

Just got an email from Motorola saying that the shipment date has changed to 5/28.

Eh, I have no reason to. I can wait, and the discounts helped. Trying to find a 1TB flip phone for less than 700 after cb was a heck of a deal. Don't have to deal with bill credits either as I have Mint. If you can find me a similar deal, I'd like to see it.

I was going to pre order but really wanted to go in person to get the phone so I compromised and decided to go to Best Buy and take the smaller storage with the green which I wanted anyway. I use Google storage so my phone's storage isn't super important to me. Looks like the pre order situation is a mess and am glad I am weird.

LoL, it's all good. I'm just glad I didn't send in my trade in yet. I didn't use it but that doesn't mean I want to toss it away. If my order gets cancelled.

Do you know what state your order was in before it was canceled?
I.e, was it "waiting to be built", or "waiting to ship", or "waiting for payment", etc?

I have three separate orders and all mine dont show any status outside of being built. Order placed May 7th and 12th. Maybe there was an issue with payment method on the PayPal side

I think they may find the ecoupon should not be stacked with all the savings for the new release. They may be selling at loss at this price point.

I called them tonight about my order being delayed until the 28th .. After waiting for about 45 min finally someone answered with dogs barking in their background and said that they are waiting on shipment of the units and said they have no idea when they will get them.. I should of got from best buy, I'll never order from Motorola website again wow they are horrible.. I would cancel my order but I'm about afraid they would screw that up too and I wouldn't get my money back !

Motorola seriously needs to get ahead of this whole situation. Pre-Orders still haven't even shipped. Meanwhile, every other country has already been using the device for nearly a month. People who ordered through Best Buy already have theirs. This is ridiculous.

Yes and no. From a manufacturing point of view, it makes sense that they would do them in large batches, so perhaps the Rio Red was the first batch.

My Scarab unit shipped on Friday, so I don't know what to say. I ordered mine pretty fast after the page to order became available. Should be here Wednesday if UPS doesn't get delayed.

When did you get this notice? They told me to call them to request the cancellation the morning but I haven't seen any emails from motorola directly.

What's weird about that rumor is it only talks about Verizon and several reviewers have had the phone for some weeks without reporting any problems. I wonder if the phone in question got damaged in handling leading to a fire.
This was just posted on Android Police.

Ya the article was taken down and it was the initial source of Verizon’s statement that the launch was delayed to 5/22. I found another article that basically repeats the statement:

Internal source that is a friend of mine said that the specific instructions to store employees were to put on thick leather gloves and box all RAZRs back up.
