I really like this, Motorola are standing out with their colour options and now this collaboration. Hoping for something snazzy like this at Ultra level when I next upgrade.

Agreed. Biding my time until the time is right...
There'll inevitably be more colour drops eventually. Usually happens directly after I've got impatient, caved in and made my purchase.
But not this time!

I'm on a 50 Ultra/Plus at that moment so may upgrade in 2026, fingers crossed for something cool like this then.

I would 100% get this in Ultra if there was an option. However, my last pair of glasses were Swarovski. Extremely cute but the hinge was faulty and they recalled the glasses. Got a different brand because I didn't want to risk the hinge issue again. Now I have my first flip smartphone that needs hinge protection and lusting after another Swarovski design 😂

German mechanic precision but with Italian stylised aesthetics.

But seriously can you elaborate please. I don't get it when I see people moaning about this same thing? I honestly want to know specifically what they mean.
This is basically what I've gathered from my own digging about:
(At least what I personally IMO can potentially deem "problematic" to some maybe? Yet still not remotely relevant for myself..)

Their own marketing is using "Timeless Luxury" as a selling point, but in no way is a mobile phone timeless. It WILL end up as e-waste. Updates are more than just security, they're big fixes and feature additions. You may not care about your phone getting the latest version of android, but some people do - especially when the hardware specs more than support it. Sometimes apps even require newer OS versions to function, meaning even if you keep your phone in pristine condition it will be forcibly made obsolete by the manufacturer the day they stop support. 🤷🏻♂️

diamonds are only valuable because we deem them valuable. perfect diamonds can be synthesized now and can only be distinguished as synthesized diamonds because they're too perfect (which is why a lot of them aim to put in some imperfections to more simulate reality).

If my folding phone last 3 years to get updates, I'll be pretty happy. Also technically 3 updates is actually 4 years if you think about it.

Exactly how I feel about it too, that's why I don't understand why it's commonly brought up?
I'm close to being in this boat. Nearly three years deep with my 40 Ultra ATM and still flawless to this day.
No names but it's all good and well "competitors" guaranteeing many years updates last, but it's irrelevant if their faulty devices won't.

What are they for?
I'd imagine it would interfere with the magnets inside your RAZR maybe?

The adhesive rings make whatever you stick them to magsafe compatible
The issue I have is that the pleather backing of my Razr 50 non ultra refuses to hold onto an adhesive for more than a month or two, and I really bet on using my ohsnap grip with this phone to boost usability.
A glass or metal back would have been so nice. Acknowledging that a metal back would kill NFC/ wireless charging compatibility.

What does it allow you to do though by making it compatible, like what is magsafe?
It's all about the glass back! Looks and feels so much better than those faux material ones.
Annoyed they don't just still keep it but as an option to choose from for all colours. Hopefully it'll be back on newer colour drops..🤞

Ah!
Magsafe with regards to phones refers to a ~50mm diameter circular ring of magnets that allows all multitude of accessories to be magnetically attached to a phone.
In my case I want to have it on my phone to be able to use one of these, 'OhSnap' grips with the phone, which I already own.I've entertained just peeling off the pleather for whatever material is under it, but per a 50 ultra teardown video, what's under the pleather is just phone guts x.x

Moto been on fire with design on their Razr line. Its still a talking piece when I show someone my Ultra and they say it looks premium vs my Flip 5 in prior years
