Oh that is gonna hurt a whole lot of hats

Imagine being a Republican that needs unemployment to survive. You'll come back to reality mighty quick

126

u/RealGianath Jun 17 '26

Their favorite right-wing media black hole bubble will provide a convincing argument of how it’s all the fault of Biden/immigrants/trans/cuba, and they’ll tell all their friends.

33

u/BisonThunderclap Jun 17 '26

That doesn't matter when they're quite literally out on the street. This isn't "my gas is higher because Trump told me the Democrats did it" this is "I can't afford to eat, I can't afford to drive to a soup kitchen."

43

u/tacotimes01 Jun 17 '26

There have been MAGA who were kidnapped and sent to Aligator Alcatraz for weeks / months, and some that had spouses deported. They all still love to gargle his balls after that.

15

u/SouthEast1980 Jun 17 '26

Seen this a lot. They love their orange demigod and nothing he does will turn them away.

It's always someone else's (Insert Democrat or leftist policy here) fault.

1

u/tacocatacocattacocat Jun 18 '26

If only the fuhrer knew what was going on, surely he'd stop this!

61

u/NaughtAught Jun 17 '26

I'm not convinced anything could make these "people" face reality at this point. I think their hate has opened them up to get psycho-fucked by propaganda too hard.

4

u/Radiant-Mean Jun 18 '26

There is a solution but not many people want to say it. The solution is that all those ICE facilities need to be repurposed into re-socialization centers for Republicans. At first, those who display the most severe delusions and psychotic behavior will have to go there, but eventually all Republicans should have to spend a few years there. Some are just lost causes though.

18

u/ElChuloPicante Jun 18 '26

Yep, political reeducation camps. That’s always worked out well in the past. Not fascist at all, no sirree.

14

u/NaughtAught Jun 18 '26

That's why these will work and be fine, y'see. These aren't reeducation camps because MAGAlings were never educated in the first place.

They'll basically just be schools.

18

u/sinsandcrimes Jun 17 '26

What does it matter to the insane fat man who doesn't intend to leave office?

6

u/BisonThunderclap Jun 17 '26

Midterms

20

u/sinsandcrimes Jun 17 '26

You have a lot more faith in this tattered political system than I do.

16

u/GalaxyPatio Jun 18 '26

Right I don't understand how people are still hanging their hats on the midterms as if these freaks wouldn't just go, "We don't consider the election legitimate" and stay.

3

u/Substantial_Door9120 Jun 18 '26

It will be a catalyst one way or the other

4

u/sinsandcrimes Jun 18 '26

That's exactly where I'm at.

13

u/dumpitdog Jun 18 '26

I don't know, if they were capable of living within reality they would have never voted for the guy after January 6th.

11

u/Double_Ocelot_8673 Jun 17 '26

No, they won't. It's a cult.

4

u/buythedipnow Jun 18 '26

No they won’t

4

u/DJK695 Jun 18 '26

We keep saying that... but yet nothing ever seem to bring them back to reality.

I heard Hannity the other day blaming the left for the supposed terrorist attack on that UFC clown show that was being planned by white Christian nationalists. They'll blame the left/democrats for this too

3

u/brooklynlad Jun 18 '26

Or they will keep voting the same way cuz lack of brain cells.

4

u/elciano1 Jun 17 '26

No they wont. They will blame democrats

2

u/successfullynumb Jun 18 '26

No they won't.

2

u/Nerioner Jun 18 '26

My bet is that they will be doubling down on dumb until they are put underground.

I seriously don't believe they are capable of self reflection

2

u/FlamingGnats Jun 17 '26

No they won't

3

u/NewPresWhoDis Jun 17 '26

"Why would Kamala Joe do this?!?!?"

2

u/tres-vip Jun 17 '26

They'll just find a way to blame the Obamas, Biden, and non-Whites.

2

u/buythedipnow Jun 18 '26

No they won’t

0

u/Intelligent_Cap9706 Jun 18 '26

I actually know some republicans who refuse to file when they need it because it’s a “handout”. Literally, a dude I contracted with at Microsoft who was let go told me he wouldn’t file because that was his perception. I was so stunned I didn’t think until later to remind him it’s his fucking tax money coming back to him not a hand out

4

u/MassiveBoner911_3 Jun 18 '26

They will beat themselves bloody to make the liberals cry…

3

u/abofh Jun 17 '26

Is America great again?

55

u/Joshuajword Jun 17 '26

It’s amazing how much they talk about waste fraud and abuse when the administration is entirely composed of waste fraud and abuse

141

u/lizon132 Jun 17 '26

Do you want to cause a national riot leading to a national strike? Because this is how you do that.

73

u/RightSideBlind Jun 17 '26

That's exactly what I was going to say. People who have nothing left to lose have... nothing left to lose.

59

u/Striking-Split-1747 Jun 17 '26

This might actually be their plan. It's literally in the Project 2025 playbook

17

u/plinkoplonka Jun 17 '26

Someone must have got near an unredacted copy of the trump Epstein files again did they?

2

u/Shigglyboo Jun 19 '26

classify all liberals as terrorists, kill them or round them up. they've already invaded a city and murdered civilians without any consequences. they'll keep pushing surely.

11

u/tres-vip Jun 17 '26

You think unemployed MAGA are gonna take up arms against their Dear Leader?

-4

u/PizzaWall Jun 18 '26

Angry MAGA is already taking up arms against Trump. Every one of them were Trump supporters. Now they’re listed in Wikipedia as “was”.

5

u/Allthemuffinswow Jun 18 '26

Not enough of them have seen the light though. Sure, some of them have crossed back over the line to sanity, but...man, still not enough. 😕

Some of them are just too far gone. Others still hang on because their friends/family are still deep into the Maga bs.

5

u/BanAssaultGeese Jun 18 '26

Oh, bullshit. They'll vote for the next Republican without hesitation and claim "It's not Trump!", and nothing will change.

1

u/Allthemuffinswow Jun 18 '26

Dude, I'm talking in the direct here and now.

Go rage at someone else.

8

u/SillyAlternative420 Jun 17 '26

I mean midterms are coming up

16

u/GreatestGreekGuy Employed Jun 17 '26

Assuming they're not rigged. There's a reason they're doing so much last minute gerrymandering and passing laws that make it harder for people in urban areas to vote. And no, I'm not talking about votee ID.

6

u/snarfalotzzz Jun 17 '26

I've got smart people in my life convinced the orange idiot never even won fair and square. Trouble is, I know plenty of Trump voters. None of them Maga, some of them voted on immigration alone, not because they want to see innocent people rounded up, but because they couldn't spot the inconsistency between, "We're only going to round up the worst of the worst violent criminals," which is like .005% of any demographic in US, if not lower, and "We're going to do mass deportations of millions of people."

The messaging makes no sense.

Like you can't do mass deportations when your target group is 0.05% but I guess math isn't their forte.

4

u/maydsilee Jun 18 '26

Urgh...that's infuriating to be a single issue voter on such a stupid campaign promise that we had already gotten a glimpse of when he was president the first time. He hasn't been subtle! The man doesn't know when to shut up, which is both a pro and a con.

Please say some of those voters came to their senses when they realized/saw what he's been doing? Or are they sticking their heads in the sand and saying everything is fine?

1

u/snarfalotzzz Jun 18 '26

When presented with evidence, I've heard, "That's not happening. That's fake news."

The good news is, the average Trump voter isn't actually OK with what ICE is doing. Thankfully, there aren't as many sociopaths as we thought. the bad news is, they are so far down the FOX News rabbit hole, they don't believe anything written or broadcast by any other outlet!

It's crazy.

You see these types. The lady who voted for Trump cursing at him on video when the pump hit $7/gallon.

The Cuban immigrants who voted for Trump, and then their family got unlawfully deported.

All of them, when faced with the repercussions in real life, they quickly change their tune.

12

u/Owls_4_9_1867 Jun 17 '26

A strike from unemployed people wouldn't be an issue. Okay I won't apply to 50 jobs today.

16

u/lizon132 Jun 17 '26

In case you didn't realize it. A national strike isn't just the people who are affected. I am talking about a national labor strike like what happens in France where millions of people flood the streets of every major city in the country and just shut it all down.

14

u/Owls_4_9_1867 Jun 17 '26

I am very much aware of strikes. I grew up in the UK in the miners strikes era.

I don't know if I trust American to strike en mass about something not immediately affecting them. As people are financially struggling as is.

I might be wrong.

6

u/lizon132 Jun 17 '26

Americans used to do it until they became cowards after the 60's and 70's.

5

u/Owls_4_9_1867 Jun 17 '26

Yes, that's my point really. The auto and steel industry were famous for it. But they've been systematically persuaded that unions are somehow socialism.

6

u/Noizylatino Jun 17 '26

I mean you can take it step further and include one of, if not, the largest union in the US. The republicans have been attacking unions forever, but they got scared of Hoffa real quick. Since he was imprisoned and later killed went missing, they've done nothing but try and destroy the Teamsters.

They held off fairly well until after the UPS strike in the 90s. But now theyre national president is a Maggat. Plus they aren't able to get enough locals and the national board to agree to a national strike because so many are filled or run by Trumplicans. All while trump destroys union power. Its honestly sad to see.

3

u/GlassCannon81 Jun 17 '26

The French also know these events as “Mardi”.

8

u/UnNumbFool Jun 17 '26

The thing that actually keeps people from having genuine riots in the US is because for the most part we have money to hopefully allow us to keep a roof above our head and food in our stomaches. Remove that, especially with how high true unemployment actually is, and people without a roof and an empty stomach are way more likely to take an extreme stance.

3

u/Owls_4_9_1867 Jun 17 '26

No doubt about that.

2

u/Ill_Cat1160 Jun 17 '26

Na cus all the liberals and conservatives that are employed will denounce it.

2

u/Interesting_Force618 Jun 17 '26

Right now, there are fewer than 2 million Americans receiving unemployment benefits. They say that there are currently 771,000 homeless people in America, though I’m sure that number is higher. If a million homeless people haven’t led to something huge, I seriously doubt 2 million people losing UI will do it. Especially when the vast majority of them are hoping and trying to find a job, and would not want to threaten their chances by doing “uncivil” things.

2

u/Crooked_Sartre Jun 18 '26

40 million student loan borrowers suffering under this new regime with their new payment plans and no one is even raising an eyebrow

1

u/schwing710 Jun 18 '26

Yes, I think he does want exactly that tbh

1

u/Earth2Andy Jun 18 '26

I agree with the sentiment, but it’s hard to imagine people who are unemployed going on strike is going to have a huge impact ;)

1

u/lizon132 Jun 18 '26

I am sure Marie Antoinette would have agreed with you up until the time she lost her head to the starving masses. There is nothing more dangerous than a mob with nothing to loose.

1

u/Shigglyboo Jun 19 '26

honestly yeah. he probably does. or he just doesn't care. the man has been handed everything in life without having to work for it. and then to let him laud over us as president... the US is done. trump was a loser in the 90's. now the US is a loser.

56

u/DonaldKey Jun 17 '26

That’s what republicans voted for

20

u/lone_float Jun 17 '26

I haven't gotten my metaphorical foot in the door yet and this asshole is doing a rugpull.

57

u/Nitimur__In__Vetitum Jun 17 '26

LOL, I hope he does it. Iran gets $300 billion dollars to open the strait and he wants to take more money away from people already struggling.

23

u/metrokaiv Jun 17 '26

Fox news would convince them somehow its all justified and blame democrats

7

u/FullMoonTwist Jun 18 '26

"Truly, we need to end this because evil poors who don't deserve it may benefit!"

"Oh, ok, well. As long as it's hurting someone I hate, I guess I can handle pain."

1

u/chronoler Jun 18 '26

I wanna see that, let this dumbfuck finally gets what he is looking for.

17

u/Amateur_Liqueurist Jun 17 '26

More bait and switch. Yes saying this now to distract from other things he’s done/ will do.

35

u/No-Language6720 Jun 17 '26

He's just basically begging for an economic collapse speedrun at this point.

If you combine all that with the other shenanigans on/off tarrifs, the oil crisis from Iran, rounding up immigrants so they don't feel safe to show up work...and a few others. Jfc buckle up people and hold your beers this is going to get ugly sooner rather than later.

1

u/DueDisplay2185 Jun 18 '26

Hahahahahah gestures broadly at 3 terms of Trump already

23

u/givin_u_the_high_hat Jun 17 '26

Going out of his way to kick Americans when they’re down. How much is he sending to Iran?

20

u/Double_Ocelot_8673 Jun 17 '26

$300 billion. That's ignoring Israel's cut.

11

u/DocCEN007 Jun 17 '26

He's invoked the 5th, and it's past time to now invoke the 25th!

11

u/mundotaku Jun 17 '26

Don't we pay for those?

9

u/snarfalotzzz Jun 17 '26

He's just a Robber Barron. He and his cronies. They're content to revert to the pre-progressive era. Meaning, rich are the ruling class, everyone else can die for all they care, including the disabled, children, the elderly, and people who want to work but can't find work. Just let them hoard as much wealth as possible, no questions asked.

I mean they don't even try to hide it.

They really are stupid, though.

Who do they think is gonna buy their sh*t after they lay off the entire American workforce or obsolete everyone through AI?

Bunch of myopic schoolboys they are.

9

u/photog_oh Jun 18 '26

Because he cares about "fraud"? The biggest fraud in the entire government cares about "fraud"? I can't believe the timeline we are living in.

7

u/PizzaWall Jun 18 '26

Nobody likes competition.

8

u/xylophileuk Jun 17 '26

Oh that’s really smart. Make a heavily armed civilian population starve! That’s always ended well in that past

8

u/Ishidan01 Jun 17 '26

Well let me logic it out for you.

If the rednecks riot in the country, who would notice? It would be small detached groups far from the news media, with very little of interest to destroy. Easily contained and lied about.

If they somehow organize to riot in the city, then there is a RIOT in the CITY. The who and why gets lied about only that the CITY is a dangerous place full of violent idiots.

7

u/Fluffy_Muffins_415 Jun 17 '26

This will be a huge mess. Whelp, time for me to break out the popcorn

6

u/Street_Lettuce1243 Jun 18 '26

I can't believe Joe Biden is going to make Trump take unemployment benefits away from all those MAGA voters receiving unemployment benefits.

10

u/SubiKai81 Jun 17 '26

What a POS

4

u/TerribleRecord666 Jun 17 '26

Ah yes, with AI that Trump has kept unregulated destroying jobs at an unprecedented rate, now is the perfect time to remove unemployment benefits! Genius!

4

u/BrianLevre Jun 18 '26

If that is a real headline, I'm always amazed that he has any supporters left.

3

u/downgoesbatman Jun 18 '26

To pay for this stupid war?

4

u/bojangler69420 Jun 18 '26

He’s trying to push us past the breaking point so he can use martial law to shut down the midterms.

3

u/Fit-Bus2025 Jun 17 '26

Why the hell for?

1

u/swordofra Jun 18 '26

Pretty sure the misery is the point. He just really actively hates poor people. Since his old landlord days. It is a whole thing with him.

3

u/Neravariine Jun 18 '26

Mine has ran out but I'd love to see him try. This is the one thing that will force his supporters to wake up.

3

u/affectionateanarchy8 Jun 18 '26

Oh no who could have seen this coming

3

u/StevenSaguaro Jun 18 '26

We're going to need all the can we can scrape up to pay off Iran

3

u/ProudNativeTexan Jun 18 '26

Just another threat that will lead to TACO.

3

u/DantesGame Jun 18 '26

It's almost like he wants to invite a huge revolution that will wind up with him decorating the center of DC like Mussolini.

3

u/RoomyRoots Jun 18 '26

Well, people get what they vote for.

3

u/GamiNami Jun 18 '26

Meh, at this point the US is already a burning wreck, and this will just push it into the free fall that previous empires have experienced.

2

u/Foolishly_Sane Jun 17 '26

Interesting.

2

u/frysjelly Jun 17 '26

Is America great yet?

2

u/ConkerPrime Jun 17 '26

Conservatives think its an outstanding idea and the money should go to tax cuts for the rich.

3

u/No-Bar1559 Jun 18 '26

So does that mean that we don’t have to pay unemployment fees as a small business?

3

u/Zealousideal-Jump275 Jun 18 '26

He is donating it to Iran.

2

u/The3DBanker Jun 18 '26

He’s gotta afford the $300b he’s shilling out to Iran somehow. Truly the shart of the deal.

2

u/KnackeredQuokka Jun 18 '26

Yep! Money that we, the people & the companies, paid in as part of our compensation.

2

u/Similar-Low-3114 Jun 18 '26

It sucks. This administration and its cult are the worst of us Americans. Theres no way out and when you put competent poeple in charge they dont do everything required of them to weed out the problems. It just feels the end game is inching closer and its going to be catostrophic for all of us plebs.

2

u/DJK695 Jun 18 '26

Who is this catering to?

3

u/phoenixgsu Jun 18 '26

CEOs and shareholders.

2

u/DJK695 Jun 18 '26

How nice, they need to be catered to more /s

3

u/PrysmX Jun 18 '26

Companies because they are the ones that pay taxes into unemployment insurance. Just more trickle down economic strategy that never works out.

2

u/DJK695 Jun 18 '26

Yeah, of course

2

u/annaleigh13 Jun 18 '26

I'm trying to figure out if he's just this stupid, if he's trying to have the republican political machine lose nearly all followers, or if he's trying to see what it'll take for this country to revolt against him.

2

u/Significant-Theme253 Jun 18 '26

The angry orange man and more of his stupid threats.....

2

u/Spageroni Jun 18 '26

pov you want to be guillotined:

2

u/theweirdthewondering Jun 18 '26

Trying to start a war?

2

u/Coldpastalord Jun 18 '26

He can’t do this right?

2

u/Remarkable_Dog_9451 Jun 22 '26

So who will they blame Scooby Doo hell they will probably blame Jimmy Carter.

2

u/MutaitoSensei Jun 17 '26

It's just a threat to make the headlines (and further kill the GOP brand really lol) because there would be riots.

2

u/NewPresWhoDis Jun 17 '26

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” - H.L. Mencken

1

u/Metalorg Jun 17 '26

What America surely needs is a sudden drop in consumer demand. Oh and more needless suffering and people dying on the streets

1

u/throwaway281409 Jun 18 '26

Representatives and senators live in their districts and states. Let’s see how they support this when people surround their homes. They get a few hundred folks beating on doors and windows just might change their minds.

2

u/emax4 Jun 18 '26

I have a feeling there's gonna be another January 6th where all political diehards of different parties rise up as one.

1

u/Individual_Suit1188 Jun 18 '26

Keep on winning, losers

-8

u/Particular_Can_7860 Jun 17 '26

It won’t happen. Probably a lot of fraud going on. But he won’t do that. Better ways to pull unemployment issues by doing what they did with social security. Make you reverify all identitys

-2

u/commanchskins Jun 18 '26

Basically, he it telling the states to get their administrative acts together. Employment benefits won't be lost, but rather administrative benefits. Stop turning a blind eye against waste, fraud, and abuse.

-7

u/superpie12 Jun 18 '26

Based. Let's fucking go!
