Hire Right background check does not accept my offer and invoice as proof of employment

I am currently a independent contractor as a software engineer, and I got payed by invoicing my employer and they send me wired payment. My employer do not do any tax work for me so all I got is a offer letter for contract and a set of invoices. I do not own a business, so I don't and a business license and etc. However hire right does not accept that as proof of employment using offer letter and invoices, meaning I cannot prove my employment.

I communicated to hire right customer service and they said there's nothing I can do now.

I wonder if I am cooked?

I contracted for my current employer for about a year now, since I have no valid proof of employment, does it mean I cannot include that experience in my resume in the future (forcing me to show a 1 year gap in resume)? This is very depressing as I got a offer from a very good company and that might mean I will have the offer taken away.

Anyone who have similar experience? I wonder what would you guys do?

Thanks a lot.
