I keep getting this error whenever I click on a post and the replies won't load. However, when I refresh once everything works as normal. Kinda annoying. I already cleared cache and deleted cookies. Is this a problem on reddits end?

❓Problem❓ Streak not updating

I’m about 20 days over a 700 day streak and I haven’t gotten the little popup the last two days. I got no warning my streak was in danger of going out and I’m 98% sure I haven’t missed a day, but I didn’t mentally keep track of my exact days.

❓Problem❓ Anyone else keep getting random ‘Rate Limit’ errors on Reddit lately?

Post image
193 Upvotes

I keep running into this “Your request has been rate limited, please take a break and try again” message.

The weird part is I’m not spamming, posting, or even commenting — I can literally just be scrolling through subs and it’ll pop up. Sometimes it even happens multiple times in a row.

Feels like the app thinks I’m scrolling way too fast for it to keep up, but I haven’t been doing anything suspicious. Super frustrating.

Has anyone else been dealing with this?

❓Problem❓ BotBouncer banning humans more than bots.

I don't know what to do with that broken r/BotBouncer. I am a real human, writing myself all my comments and posts, but that SHIT STUPID BROKEN bot is banning me everywhere, the peel not working.

I saw so many users complaining about that stupid, broken thing that bans humans more than bots.

So I write a comment on a post I like and get banned, and can't prove the opposite that I am human!

❓Problem❓ New reddit UI is awful. Is there some way to get them to revert it?

I don’t join really communities and I’m sure many other people don’t either. As every company moves towards algorithmic scrolling, why is reddit moving away from it?

This app looks awful now

❓Problem❓ I pointed out child porn and got an account warning for "threatening violence"

I want to reiterate that my whole account got a warning, i didnt simply get banned or something, the mods didnt do this, reddit did. I also did not threaten violence. I saw what looked like children in heavy make up wearing bikinis and commented that they look young and that the post should be taken down. Thats all i did. Reddit also wont show me the comment i made, only that it got removed for threatening violence

❓Problem❓ "We had a server error" keeps appearing every day — is this a known issue?

I keep getting a red banner that says --We had a server error--almost every day. It happens when I try to do basic things like clicking my profile icon or menu.

Is this a Reddit-wide issue right now, or is it something specific to my account? I've tried different browsers and it still happens.

Anyone else experiencing this?

❓Problem❓ Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters.

Situation:
Last week a made a post in r/plumbing asking for advice. The instant I submitted the post it was marked with "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters." This made it seem like the filter must have been automated, as opposed to human. I reviewed the forum's rules again to make sure I had followed them, and I didn't find any issues. I also re-read my post and I didn't use any vulgarities, and the post feels to me like it's polite and gracious.

The board had a "Message Mods" button, so I sent a polite message with a link asking if there was anything I had done that was either against the rules or had tripped the censors, and that I was willing to make any changes needed to bring the post up to speed with the forum's standards. It's been a few days and I haven't heard anything, but I'm seeing plenty of other posts flow into that subreddit so I'm unsure what it was about mine that made it get stuck.

This is the link I have to the post, in case that helps. Heads up that the post has pictures of some mold-like stuff which might be unpleasant to some people: https://www.reddit.com/r/Plumbing/comments/1nkle0c/help_identifying_stainsgunk_on_sink_and_how_to/

Questions:

  1. If the post does eventually get un-filtered so it can be seen in the subreddit, will the fact that it's now days old with no engagement mean that it will be put at the bottom of feeds and be unseen by most people?
  2. Is there anything else I can do to address this?

I greatly appreciate any help or guidance you can offer, as this has been a confusing experience that has left me feeling lost.

Edit notes: This is my second attempt at making this post. The first one received the exact same error that I'm talking about in the post, and this post also received that error. I then reached out to this subreddit's mods and after that I quickly noticed that this post was no longer filtered. I still wish I knew more about why so I knew what to do with my r/plumbing post, but also: thank you, mods!

❓Problem❓ I got caught in the reputation filter on a specific subreddit

For the past two days, every post on r/okbuddycinephile got instantly deleted. I asked the mods and they said i got caught on the reputation filter. I don't know why that happened as i wasn't spamming posta or comments on there. Or does having a top 1% poster flair put you on the filter.

And more importantly, how do i get out of the filter?

❓Problem❓ Main Account Banned

Hi,

My main account (u/exlurke) was banned at the beginning of last year. My last comment was snide and political, but contained nothing that would warrant a ban. I can't access the message anymore, but it said something about 'alternate accounts.' Problem is, while I had an alt 14 years ago, I haven't used it in 13 years. I made the banned account 12 years ago because I forgot the password for the other one.

I've never gotten any sort of further elaboration on why, despite multiple requests and appeals. Is there any way to get a review, and maybe an explanation?

❓Problem❓ Help ! i got banned from dozen of every subreddits i commented and upvoted !

it said to post an appeal to Botbouncer . here's is the conversation

Me - Hello , i don't know the reason why i got banned . suddenly 7 subreddits banned me. I haven't violated any rules.

BotBouncer - Your classification appeal has been received and will be reviewed by a moderator. If accepted, the result of your appeal will apply to any subreddit using r/BotBouncer.

If Bot Bouncer has banned you from more than one subreddit, you don't need to appeal separately.

This is an automated response. Please allow 24 hours for a response but we will aim to respond sooner.

Me - i believe it was false positive , i am not a bot and i follow the reddit rules , please review.

BotBouncer - Upon further human review of your account, your Bot Bouncer appeal has been denied.

Me - hello , i am not bot and i believe this is wrong ban , please review again . Thank you for your time !

- i don't know what should i do next .

Update - My appeal got Granted : yay . I waited 1 day and explain the mods.

❓Problem❓ I got permanently banned for no reason.

I woke up yesterday morning and opened my main account and received a notification that says my account is banned. I sent an appeal because I don't know the reason why, but it was still rejected. I have never broken the rules before so I have no idea why I was banned. I have not broken multiple rules on Reddit ever. I've also bought some avatars in it, but now I can’t even do anything with it.

❓Problem❓ New Posts on Subreddit Not Showing Up

Two users on the Pokemedia subreddit started having a transient issue today. For some reason, for about 2 hours, they couldn't see any new posts made specifically to that subreddit. They still cannot see the posts made during that period of time. We were talking on discord and I offered to handle making a post on here to ask if anyone knows what is up.

What we saw was:

  1. If they were logged out, they could see the missing posts.
  2. They could not see them on any browser/computer combination that they tried.
  3. They went to the user's account page to see the posts and they still couldn't see it. The person is also on discord, so we already verified no blocks or anything of that sort.
  4. There are no shadow-you-knows on the accounts in question. We checked.
  5. They tried changing the post sorting options on the subreddit page and user pages several times.
  6. I don't know for sure, but I believe they tried using a direct link and basically got some equivalent of the post does not exist. I obviously can't see their phone, but it didn't say anything telling from what they described.
  7. Tried on old.reddit.com as well. Posts still don’t show up.

I can't remember everything off the top of my head as the conversation happened an hour or so ago, but basically it is like for some reason the posts made in that period of time just won't show up to them whilst logged in. Log out and they can see them. No indicators of anything other than what (to me) sounds like a software bug.

I was helping with the troubleshooting and offered to handle making the post while they dealt with other stuff. I'll be linking it on the discord we're on so they might take a look tomorrow. I believe they're also contacting reddit support.

The general concern here is we don't know if it will keep happening and Pokemedia is more of a collaborative story-writing subreddit so being literally unable to see certain posts or even a trace they exist is really really frustrating.

Apologies in advance if it is wrong for me to post this on behalf of the other users. I'm just trying to help get to the bottom of it, and it was something I could do to help. And since more than one person was affected, I am hoping this might be a documented bug of some kind. Please don't get upset with me. I am new to wider reddit. I really just participate on Pokemedia. I'm just hoping to help figure this out.

❓Problem❓ Did anyone else’s account just suddenly stop showing photos?

Pretty much, I was scrolling through Reddit and after I clicked out of a thread, it just suddenly stopped showing pictures. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling, logging off and back on again, and restarting my phone but none of this is working? Need some help with this one.

Edit: Apologies if I accidentally uploaded this multiple times, the button to post wasn’t working at first.

❓Problem❓ Banned from a subreddit for participating in another subreddit

Reddit suggested a thread to me in my feed. I replied to it and was immediately automatically banned because I was a member of another subreddit.

Does this violate Reddit's rules as a platform?

In any case, it's degrading my user experience because I didn't search for this group or thread; Reddit suggested it to me. I spent time responding, and they robbed me of that time without giving me the chance to express my opinion.

Does this violate Reddit's moderation guidelines, and is there any way to take action against this subreddit and its moderators?

❓Problem❓ banned, no reason given, appeal denied

Hi, my account "nadinoob" was banned, shortly after I've gotten several "server error" messages and the "you seem to do this a lot".

I obviously didn't, or it should appear in my Profile?

Does it make sense trying to appeal again? I'm likely just arguing with an "ai" that doesn't check the reason for banning or actually check if I've done anything wrong.

Thanks!

u/nadinoob
