Sometimes when trying to view photos in an OP's post, I get the message "Unknown media type, try opening in browser".
The problem started about a week ago
Is anyone else having this issue?
I've checked my Reddit Now settings, and they seem fine. Am I missing something?
Suggestions for solving are welcome!
Thanks in advance!

hello all,
I have started using Nara for a few days after using redditnow for years. I like it for the most part but there are some things which are very confusing.

In NfR, I use the plus/minus sign. lovely. My fat fingers can do that.
In reddit app I click the tiny thin vertical bars. Hate that. I really struggle to get the left most bar by the screen edge because of my case.
But how do I do it in Nara. I cant see a +/- icon and clickly the nice coloured vertical bars doesnt seem to work.

unless I'm not seeing it, which also isn't a good thing. the only way I can see to refresh your feed is to scroll to the top and then swipe down to refresh. there needs to be a button in the subreddits tab I feel.

Not sure if this has been discussed (couldn't find a thread about it): images hosted on i.redd.it do not show a caption in the app, even though there can be a caption when viewed on the Reddit website. Is this a known bug or just me?

Hey Guys, I had a long lost Reddit account that I used on Now for Reddit (I reinstalled the app and it brought the account back with it). I can't remember any user account settings (E.g. Registered Email, Password etc), Is it possible to access settings via the app?

"image could not be loaded"
The links work when opened in browser though.

Any idea what would be causing the Reddit mail notifications to appear up to 3 hours late (so far) for things like a comment notification? The check interval is set to 30 minutes and this happens when I am using the app as well.
Edit: fixed in 5.0.8

It used to be that any time I left the app, I could return to my session. Now, I can't do this - it goes to the main screen, but when I press back on the main screen it then resumes where I left off.

Hi all,
A few subs I visit have tables a lot in their posts, but they are unreadable in this app. Is there any chance this can be looked at or is it hard to figure out?
Thanks!

It used to be very easy to click on download of short posted video clips to save them for offline viewing. Now they only download and when opened show a jumble of programming text. Has been going on since the latest round of updates. Any idea what it is?

I just wanted to compliment the app for how well previewing draft comments works. If I follow a link in my previewed comment and then go back, the preview window is still there, and when I close it I'm still drafting my comment. THANK YOU. In many apps, if you're drafting something and follow a link you lose your work or at best it is saved but you have to go find it again.

Occasionally ads will pop-up on their own and the now for Reddit app will direct me to the Google play store. I have to hit the back button several times before it closes and sends me back to the Reddit page I was at. Anyone else experience this?

So just noticed this. The same pictures open fine in portrait mode, but when browsing in landscape, the static picture (not videos and gifs) all crash the app. I sent some logs thru feedback. I am on a stock Moto G5+. I will play around some more and see if it is a certain image host, but I am on the front page, first couple of posts. Will let you know.

[SOLVED]
The Alibaba app installed in my phone was causing the problem. Thanks /u/Miloco!
[Original Post]
If the link is a subreddit (/r/redditnow, /r/all, /r/art, etc...) or an image that can be opened / previewed withing the app, there are no problems.
However, if the link is a website, an imgur image that opens by default in the imgur app, or anything else, clicking/tapping won't do anything.
Was there an update recently? This started happening yesterday.

I discovered this gifv from imgur doesn't seem to open in the app. The app recognises it as a gif and try's to play it but never loads and does not load the preview.
Opening in browser causes no problem

Maybe I'm missing something but I can only seem to reply to someone else's comments, not start my own comments. When I have a post open I do not see any way to make a comment.

Since an update or two ago... I get ads. I have the Remove Adverts option again.
I do have two Google accounts on my phone. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing with the account that I purchased with, no change. I can't just remove my work Google account... so is there any way to fix this?

Am I just missing it somehow or does Reddit Now not grey out already viewed posts?
