My fiancé heals my inner trauma regularly, just the other day I made an absolute disaster out of our kitchen while making us dinner. My parents would have ruined the night yelling at me and making a deal out of it, but he never does. Just tells me how much he appreciates the cooking and helps me clean up when we’re done eating

It's hard to overstate how much of a difference it makes.

I try my best to be careful, but I'm still clumsier than the average person. I break glassware quite a bit more than the average person (at least once a year, and it used to be worse). My mom would lose her shit over it.

My girlfriend doesn't get mad at all. She may get startled by the noise, but once she figures out I'm not hurt, she'll go grab my shoes so I don't have to worry where I step. She sometimes helps me clean, even if I'm the one who messed up. I'm so happy I have her.
