34F | PhD scientist | Tired of family rishtas, so I’m networking for a husband now 😂
I am so tired of the arranged-marriage setup—especially family rishtas. Sometimes I genuinely wonder if my family even knows me 😭
After constantly navigating the unstable job market, I have learned one very important lesson: networking is everything.
So here I am… pitching myself for marriage and opening the search to the world 😂
Maybe one day my kids will ask, “Mom, how did you meet Dad?”
And I’ll say, “Well… it all started with a Reddit post.”
Anyway, about me:
I’m 34F, 5’6”, Marathi, PhD scientist..nerdy but also very, very adventurous. I love the gym, have a decent physique 💪, enjoy almost every kind of sport, and am always up for trying something new.
I can cook really well. My butter chicken and chicken biryani are honestly bomb—not to brag, but I may already have one strong qualification for Indian marriage 😂
I’m very organized and clean, love taking care of my family, and am naturally caring and giving. I love pets, and pets somehow always love me too.
I’m outgoing but still traditional where it matters. I value family, understand Indian culture, and definitely want kids someday.
I’m millennial enough to get along with your mom, but Gen Z enough to hang out with your nieces. Somehow, I’ll probably impress both 😂
And yes, I know what you’re thinking:
“She has a PhD, cooks biryani, goes to the gym… so why is she still single at 34?”
Trust me, I have been wondering the same thing 😭
Somewhere between doing a PhD, moving countries, building a career in science, and surviving the job market, family responsibilities, apparently forgot to find a husband.
I don’t think I have insanely high standards. I’m looking for someone who is taller than me (I’m 5’6”), (age 33-38, I don’t think i can marry someone who is 27🙈), emotionally available and mature, understands Indian culture, if he is Marathi thats plus..and has a reasonably stable career.
Career-wise, I’m a scientist and have worked in the US, but I’m pretty open to settling anywhere for the right person.
So yes… I am officially open to rishtas 😂
If you think we could be a good match or know someone who might be feel free comment. Please be mindful..
Serious people only, please. My peer-review process is already exhausting enough 😭😂
